lev 25:39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee ; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

Does this mean I can really buy my brother? How much should I offer for him? Can I make him clean my room?

ok, i know that the Bible says that once God forgives you, its cast into the lake of something i cant remember what its called and is never known again. but if thats the case, then how will God punish us for sins we commit regularly (cussing, premarital sex, etc).

Especially when I answer these questions, and I think about it: I feel like I don't pray to him so often, and that I don't ask for his help as often as I should. Anybody else feel like that?

After all he had a son by a woman (Mary) who wasn't his wife and was with another man (Joseph) at the time he had her. So if this is true Jesus was born OF sin.

I've been reading up on LDS ("Mormon") questions because I'm LDS, and there's just as much misinformation as information. People don't cite sources, spout out opinions, and condemn each other to eternal doom.

Why would you ask random people from any background about religion instead of going to the source? Since religion carries eternal weight, shouldn't you get credible information?
Why don't you people visit their meetings and talk to people about their religions, instead of reading anyone's ideas from the internet?

By the way, yes, I do talk to other people about their religions even though I steadfastly know my church is true. I'm always open to learn about other beliefs.

I think that all religious music is horrible. Besides that I also think it’s a slap in the face to real music. What do you guys think?

It seems like people are often just rushing through the questions in order to rack up points and reach new levels, or try to get thumbs up. If these "status" indicators were eliminated and people were only here to learn, intelligently argue, and/or help, don't you think the quality of both the questions and answers would increase? Does anyone over 13 years old really care about points and levels?

First why request other people to pray for something? Does the God you are praying to listen more if more people pray? I thought he was all-knowing.

Does the situation change if more people pray? Does this Godd say, "Oh when it was just Joe Bloggs praying I was going to ignore it (Sorry Say No.) But now all these others are praying for it too, despite knowing practically nothing of the situation, well that changes it and I will solve the problem for Joe." I am sorry to sound so factious, maybe you can explain it better why an all knowing, all powerful god would respond to 10 people praying but not to 1.

Finally, why put them on a questions and answers board? Are there no other religious forums out there to spam with this?

1. Do you get married?
2. Do you believe it is wrong for your partner to cheat on you?
3. Do you consider Atheism a religion or simply a lack thereof?

The reason for the first question is that I don't know of any place you can get married that isn't "under God"....
The reason for the second question is that if you don't believe in God where do you get the idea that cheating is a problem? That seems to be a moral issue and without God I'm curious to know where those morals come from. Furthermore, if we are here purely because of science then isn't our job to mate and procreate, in which case wouldn't it be more efficient to have sex with many people?
And, I'm asking the third question simply because my fiance and I were arguing about it earlier today.

I feel that it is best to not clog the childs mind with such nonsense and things like santa claus and the easter bunny. I also feel that it is wrong to teach a child that the dead can rise to live again and that pointing fingers and trying to find blame in others is how to treat others. It all just feels and seems SO wrong!

If the sun get smaller every time, because the more it burns, the smaller it gets. How big could have been the sun billions of years ago? How could there be a "ice age" with such a hot sun? Please don't you assumption in your response. Because assumption is the big mistake in science. We can not "assume" things.

During the season of springtime, when the rāsa dance was going on, suddenly Kṛṣṇa disappeared from the scene, indicating that He wanted to be alone with Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī.

Kṛṣṇa was sitting in a solitary bush, waiting for Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī to pass by. But while He was searching, the gopīs arrived there, like a phalanx of soldiers.

"Just see!" the gopīs said, seeing Kṛṣṇa from a distant place. "Here within a bush is Kṛṣṇa, the son of Nanda Mahārāja."

As soon as Kṛṣṇa saw all the gopīs, He was struck with emotion. Thus He could not hide Himself, and out of fear He became motionless.

Kṛṣṇa assumed His four-armed Nārāyaṇa form and sat there. When all the gopīs came, they looked at Him and spoke as follows.

: "He is not Kṛṣṇa! He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Nārāyaṇa." After saying this, they offered obeisances and the following respectful prayers.

when jews believe that moses lifted an ocean, Mormons believe that joseph smith read gold plates out of a hat noone ever saw, and christians believe that God impregnanted ms. christ, who gave birth to a dude who was reincarnated from the dead? Personally, I laugh at the Xenu theory, as I find it bizarre, but I would not do it to a scientologist's face, because their beliefs are no weirder than mine. So why do priests and vaticans openly insult the hubbard theory?
