I believe that God only sends those who truly deserve it to eternal damnation. My personal beliefs are a bit different than the Church( I'm Roman Catholic), I think that everyone gets a shot at purgatory(if you don't know what purgatory is here:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purgatory), even non Christians. If you don't accept God even there, maybe, but obviously I am not him, so I don't know. I truly believe that he would give everyone a fair chance even in death.

I am a Christian and I do not believe all People who don't happen to be Christians, for what ever reason, are going to hell. I think it is very possible that some Jews, Muslims, Hindus, whatever can go to heaven by honoring the one true God in their hearts.
I also do not believe in an eternal hell. I believe the word "eternal" is a mistranslation.

People can serve Christ without knowing it is Him that they serve. Matthew 25:31-40

Jesus also says that the one who welcomes a righteous person receives a reward. Matthew 10:40-42

Jesus also says that only those who favor darkness over light are the ones who will be punished. John 3:17-21

Unfortunately, you are not the majority of the human race, my friend. Christians are the majority of the population, hon!

There are some people on the globe who have not heard the gospel, so they can't be held accountable for not accepting Christ as their savior; however, people who openly scoff and torment Christians and deny the very existence of the gospel AFTER hearing it, will be held accountable by the Almighty God.

There will come a day that Jesus will return for the Christians, and it will happen AFTER all the world has heard the Gospel. Those who willingly and deliberately won't accept Jesus as their savior will be left behind.

Isn't there anything better for you to do than sit up all night and scoff the Christians?

I don't know how God deals with non-Christians, nor do I pretend to speak for God. Frankly, I hope nobody goes to hell.

But, as a Christian, I believe that first and foremost we are all sinners, and that we must be forgiven to enter heaven. And I believe Christ has purchased my forgiveness. Does that mean those who don't believe in Christ are going to hell? I don't know.

I don't even have a clear idea of what hell is. It may simply be an existence absent from God. I know it would not be pleasant.

So the essence of what I believe is that my forgiveness has been purchased for me by Christ and I must be a Christian and must obey to be saved. If I fail to do these things I am risking being in hell.

What God does with those who don't believe is up to God, not up to me.

My beliefs most closely conform to Christianity, and I don't think any good person, regardless of their faith, or lack of it, is going anywhere but to the presence of the Divine Creator when they leave here.

I actually don't believe in Hell, as in a place with demons and flames and a sulfur smell. I believe hell is being far removed from the presence of God and truth and light. I think people who do bad things in this life, and who know they are doing bad things, but who don't care, end up a lot farther out of that circle of light than people who try to be good. I believe they have to keep learning and working and that they eventually become better people, and move closer to the Creator. But good people? I believe they go there automatically, regardless of what anyone here on Earth says, or what any church teaches.

But that's just me.

**EDIT**
And I already know what mainstream Christians will say about me. They will say that I am not really a Christian, but I think that is for God to decide. We mortals are not capable of seeing or understanding fully the heart of another, so I leave the judgement to Him.

The Bible is clear that Christ is the gate by which we must enter the Kingdom of God, and there are few who find it.

Matt 7:14 - Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

It is also clear that those who do not go to heaven, go to hell

Matt. 25:41 “Then He will also say to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels"

There is some debate however, about those who have not heard the gospel of Christ.

There are those who believe that they must respond positively to the light they are given, and just obey their conscience to go to heaven. Others, as myself, believe that God knows who will accept Christ if they hear of Him, and will divinely arrange for them to do so. See Acts 10.

I don't think the majority of the world is non Christian. Quite the opposite. And I don't know what is going to happen to other people. I hope and pray for the best for them.
