Especially when I answer these questions, and I think about it: I feel like I don't pray to him so often, and that I don't ask for his help as often as I should. Anybody else feel like that?

When the truth is in you, you tend to respond with that truth, even if you don't always live up to it. Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven. Pray for greater faith and strength to rely on Him more and yourself less. It's very mature of you to recognize that you aren't always as faithful as you could hope to be. Trust God and he'll continue His work in you unto perfection.

God bless you, sister.

When we understand that we are all hypocrites we learn leagues about ourselves. There is NO human alive that isn't a hypocrite.
Ever pretend you were happy? Ever pretend that you empathized with a friend when you had no clue? Ever feigned sympathy? That's hypocrisy and we all have it. That's where wisdom takes over. Knowing that about ourselves, that we are erroneous human beings and so are our fellow man may we be considered not a hypocrite.

I think thats the result of the church and your peers because the church says you should do certain things as a Christian and they also try to force their beliefs on non-christians. Alot of people think we're all alike and that we are mostly composed of "rules and codes of conduct" and that we're all going to try to convert them and that we don't like people if they're like us but thats a lie....
to me being Christian is not about praying to God and doing everything the church says we should do its about finding himin my own way.
as long as your not forcing beliefs on people i think youre good.

If you don't feel like a hypocrite then you are just a "spoon-fed believer". Glad you use your brain and are seeking insight.
Peace

the only way id consider myself a hypocrite is if i preach against one thing and then do it. rather then that you have to keep in mind your human and your gonna fail him. but he will forgive if you asked

Sin is separation from God. That is why we need Jesus to intercede for us to the Father. We are all human and thus are separated from God.
