If you tell a well person that he looks sick over and over he more that likely will soon believe that he is sick. Some of us have experienced a change in our lives we can feel the Spirit of God moving in our souls, can we take a camera and take pictures of what happened in a persons soul no we can't. We can only tell others what happened. To tell someone that nothing happened is wrong. How can you be so sure that the person is a sham. Were you there did you feel what he felt. How do you point fingers at someone then. Did you hear someone say it was a sham and you picked up on it and also said then it is a sham. The song ( My God is real for I can feel him in my soul.) Do you know what he feels or just say it is a sham. I say to you search for God The bible says when we seek God with our whole heart he will be found. Have you searched for him with your whole heart if you haven't how can you say that this is a sham. The early Church searched The scriptures daily to make sure they were not being led astray. Have you searched the scriptures.God is real I pray that you reach out to him. Amen

God is not the "sham". The "sham" is the belief in god and insisting to others that god or gods exist in other than the mind of the believer.

Santa Claus is not a "sham". Santa Claus does not exist. The "sham" is being told that Santa Claus exists, is it not?

As a child, I was made to 'experience' both. One day I realized both 'experiences' were false. Growing up involves many things, one of which is recognizing the difference between reality and fantasy.

I could honestly say he's a sham, because when I was a child, I was told that if I needed him, I could pray for his help and he would help me. BUT when I was 8 yrs old, I was raped, I cried out to him to help me, but he let the rapist do what he did. He didn't help me in any way. So therefore he is a sham. Nothing you could say would ever change my mind on that.

I've experienced Him. I was a Christian for many years. I prayed, read the Bible, and praised Jesus every day. I had lots of friends who did the same thing - they thought just like I thought and we were all united against the big bad atheist world. It was great.

but it was a sham, anyway.

How is it not a "sham" to say that we understand the nature of God?

The affirmation of an ability to know about the existence of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth is the fraud that ideological authorities who propagate the various Abrahamic religions perpetrate inorder to be able; to make threats against the life and or afterlife of anybody who does not submit to their authority; and to extort from communities of faithful believers tithes and offerings in exchange for a lifelong indoctrination in a standard of conduct that these same ideological authorities proclaim to be the discovery of the truth about the will of a good one in Heaven at war with and evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth. Extortion based on threats made against the life and or afterlife of others and or a fraudulent affirmation of an ability to know about the existence of a good one in Heaven at war with an evil one cast down to and ruling over Earth should be considered a crime against humanity.

Fraud + Extortion = Scam not sham

NO ONE has "experienced" god... they have fallen under the delusion that he exists and they mistake their own conscience for the voice of god.

If people would just stand up for themselves and take ownership of their own lives, the world would be a better place!

Shams have to exist before they're a sham.

I have "experienced" him. Means nothing to me now but a delusional feeling. I'm sure muslims, Jews, and people of other religions have "experienced" something.

Can they all be right? Can they all be wrong?
