Of course. You would not only have to be an idiot but also a mental and emotional abuser to teach that garbage to your little ones. Those people should be shot without wasting any more time. They are dangerous perversions of humanity.

Actually... as a young kid I questioned such things like santa claus... haha I guess it all depends on intelligence because at age 7 I questioned magic and soon knew santa wasn't real...
besides... a human sized bunny?
why aren't we doing anything to stop this?
why is the world so god-damned cartoonish?
in the 7th grade i was atheist.

Absolutely. Although there is very little wrong with Santa Claus and all that. That part is fun for me. I celebrate Mithras though I am atheist.
Why? Because it is fun, I like to be among family and give gifts. The best thing is watching my kids go down to see the tree.
The ideals of religions/ gods interferes with the mind of a child. My son speaks full complex compound sentences. he is two. He starts school (kindergarten) in Sept.
His sister the same. She is going into 2nd grade and she is 4.

I completely agree with you. Children should learn to live their own lives and take responsibility for their successes and failures on their own, with the support of family and friends.
Parents should guide their children to do what is right, not because of the fear of hell or the promise of heaven, but because it is the RIGHT thing to do.
If we did that, then there wouldn't be a church to fall away from, causing guilt and then the "Oh well, I've already screwed up" mentality of people today.

I think it's wrong to force beliefs on someone so young because they're at the age before they start thinking for themselves, so of course they're going to believe it. In my opinion that's an obvious form of brainwashing. But i think it's good to expose them to different religions, that way they know what everyone else believes, but in the end have to choose, depending on what they HONESTLY believe. There's a lot of churches out there that disagree, so the child would have to choose one or the other, and that decision can only be made depending on their own beliefs. No brainwashing necessary.

Yes. I wish I had been raised without being submitted to that crap. I like what Dawkins said about it- there is no such thing as a "Christian child" or a "catholic child" that's like saying a "republican child". You can't define them by their parents beliefs because they haven't been given the opportunity to choose for themselves.

I am amazed, how many people don't know God or His Son Jesus.
Those who teach their children about God will have the eternal gratitude of their children in Heaven.
Those who do not, and the children do not learn from somone else, will have the eternal wrath of their children turned on them in Hell.
All the dead shall rise but not all at the same time.
The first to rise will be those who died in Christ. They will rise to be with Him. This is the first ressurection,
The second resurrection is for those who died without accepting Christ as Savior and Lord.

children need to be brought up with moral values and to be taught right from wrong.
i agree that kids shouldn't be fed falsehoods such as Santa, Easter, easterbunny, birthday celebrations, christmas, prejudices,
inaccurate bible knowledge is the main culprit

I plan on teaching my children religion without teaching them any of those things....am I still wrong? I don't think so. Regardless what you teach a child they will eventually gather information from other sources and decide on their own anyway.

Yes. Let's not teach them anything religious.
And while we're at it, let's not teach them to read, or do math. If those things are important to them, they should discover them on their own.
And no history or science either. It seems all history does is show us dumb things people did in the past. We don't want them emulating that. And science seems to be wrong about things as often as they are right.
And for sure let's not give them any sense of right and wrong. Let them duke it out on the playground. Winner take all.
Yep, we're ruining our kids by filling their heads full of everything we've learned.
