I am just curious about this. A friend of mine who is catholic recently experienced dysfunctional uterine bleeding. In order to alleviate the blood loss, her doctor prescribed birth control pills to her. There is no other way to treat this at this time other than a hysterectomy which is unacceptable because she plans to have children one day. She wants to ask her priest about taking the pills and I told her that she should just listen to her doctor seeing as how her priest isn't a doctor and can't give her another way to stop the bleeding. So, my question is in the Catholic religion, is she justified in taking the pills to safeguard her health or not? Which takes precedence: her health or the churches teachings on birth control?

Again, I'm just curious. She will probably take the pills regardless because she is tired of the bleeding, iron deficiency, and risk of anemia.

In Persia, the god Mithra was born of a virgin on DEC-25. Zoroaster was also born of a virgin. (Many common beliefs between what Zoroaster taught and Christian doctrines, Wayne)

I want to go into a forest ( To be alone) and ask God to show himself. ( If God is a woman then that's good enough for me) When God appears in front of me I will tell him to do a better job when it comes to his children. ( Wars in the world....WW One, WW two...Korean war...Vietnam....Iraq war...Etc....Crime in the world..) Can I dress God down and make "GOD" feel ashamed? All I want to do is make him do a better job.

Imagine you have the power... the world is a blank slate. You can bestow on to the whole of humanity whatever system, doctrine, belief or non-belief you want to explain existence, human origins, morals, ethics, life, death, everything. Keep in mind that at this point in time, we still don't have any single system that ALL people agree with, so think carefully...

Would you go with an existing religion?

Would you go with science?

Would you go with a humanistic philosophy?

Would you create something entirely new?

You have the power... what will you do?

If you look through the religion/spirituality questions on here, many more than half are written by people just looking to slam on religion. I can understand the reasons some people choose not to believe in christianity, but why the need to constantly lash out at something you don't accept as true anyway?

The Romans belived in many gods. They thought that tyhey were real in every way. Then some guy woke up and thought of the idea of one god. religions come and go. The romans thought there religon was the greatest and only right one. It wasnt when Judisum and Christianity came along. Sooner or later some guy is going to wake up, have his coffie and think that a new all powerful god was talking to him. People will follow, and Judisum and Christianity will become old, lost religions like the romans and the greeks.

Im not saying to stop beliving in what you belive in but why do you force people to belive that your religion is the only one. You can beleive in it but let others belive in what they belive in. So what if they think that some of lifes questions have differnt answers. Some questions shouldnt be answered by religion , but by what happens, when it happens.

If i spelt anything wrong... i have terrible spelling. So what.

God's explaination for Prophets:

Yea, well I could have given you direct affirmations of my existance, but I decided to send you humans instead, to keep you guessing. Sure, some of them were faking you out, but Im a big Agatha Christie fan and I wanted to see who would figure out the mystery best.

Humanity in year 68000

"Ok children, lets learn about Gods prophets he sent 66000 years ago. First, I need to teach you hundreds of new terms to describe this ancient ancient world. Dont ask me why God hasnt spoke to us since, we dont have time for that today"

What the hell is this, im seriouslly shocked!

its matthew 10 -34

10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. (10:34-36)
I came not to send peace, but a sword. ... A man's foes shall be they of his own household."
Is Jesus peaceful?
One of Ann Coulter's favorite Bible verses
Holy War and the Holy Father: the Bible vs the Quran

On Peace
10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

i mean really, whats going on here. Love jesus more then my little brother of mom, TRULY love him more, then my mom who has raised me and been the best mom ever, and why does he want to break families anyhow.

i think i really am gonna go athiest.
