If you saw two men trying to snatch up a child and force her into van, would you answer her screams for help? No because that would interfere with free will.

If your neighbor's house was struck by lightning and they had lost everything, would you help? If you had an infinite amount of food and they were starving? No because they might learn something from watching their kids go hungry.

If you could snap your fingers and cure every birth defect, would you do it? No because that wouldn't test anyone's faith.

If an accident victim was bleeding in the streets, would you help? No, free will and tests of faith and all that.

How can an all powerful god allow so much suffering? The answer is either he/she/it doesn't exist or god is just a sadist.

You have to think, they say christianity is the oldest religion, but maybe there were religions before such which were forgotten. The bible was written a good time after jesus died. The bible says that the past repeats itself, if so should'nt have there been a god before the one that we believe in. if we were always here how come we keep finding primitive skeletel structures and none as complex as our. How do we not know that some person and a group of his friends shared a story that was supposively passed down and added lies into it. They say jesus never lied but you dont know that if you werent there. So the only real way to know if this is true is it waas witnessed. If god is real, maybe he "cleans" the earth of the sinners because they are starting to find out he isnt real, and if god is the only being able to create life, how come our modern day scientist are so close to creating it themselves. Should we refer to them as " God".

Affrimations made by Christian leaders of an ability to know about the will of god are most certainly based on fraud

Making threats against my life and or afterlife if I don't submit to the authority of Christian leaders and agree to pay them money in exchange for their teachings is most certainly extortion.

God's previous Prophet sending efforts were pretty weak, I mean, why did he send them when we hadnt even perfect the technology of capturing communications is a manner that is sure to protect the orignial message.

If God really wanted to use the inferior method of sending human prophets to communicate his word, the best time to send them would have been now, in the communication age.

I guess God just wanted to do it in a time where smart people would have plenty of reason to doubt the authenticty of a just another lunatic claiming to have heard from God. This way God gets all the dumb people and can thus give over the earth to the meek, like he said he would.

I think it's time we do something about the state of society. I am looking for ideas on how to pass legislature to end what is the decline of the American family. I feel for us to truly live as God intended, and as his son explicitly said to live, we MUST outlaw divorce and adultery. People have to go into marriage knowing it's forever, as intended. It should absolutely NOT be allowed to divorce. Please, help me by sharing with me your ideas on how we can stop this evil. I would also like to hear any ideas you have on making adultery illegal. People should be held accountable for thier sinful ways. Thanks and God bless.

Supposedly 85% of Americans are Christian and their bible teaches not to kill, turn the other cheek and generally to live a peaceful life etc. etc etc.. Why is that Americans don't live up to the Christian expectation set out in their bible. Let's face it, with a defence budget of three quarters of a trillion dollars, guns rampant throughout society and one of the highest murder rates of any so called civilised nation. Americans hardly act like the Christians they are supposed to be. Any thoughts on why that is?

The technology to find out whether there was and is life on other planets is slowly approaching. Scientists have constructed many models that suggest that Earth-like planets are more common than originally thought. Earth is a planet that has life, and we are so insignificant to the universe that the possibilities are literally close to infinite. You could say that by using the Earth as an example and the impossible vastness of the universe, that the chances of finding life on other planets are 100%. In any case, my question is how do you think religious communities will defend their beliefs WHEN life on other planets is finally proven?

I am a Muslim and I totally believe in Allah (a.s) but I do not condone what these Muslim terrorists are doing by being suicide bombers (people who commit suicide would be deemed to have gone out of Islam) and fighting for what they say is Jihad (the real meaning of Jihad is something else).

Anyhow, there are a lot of similarities between Jews and Muslims like we cannot consume pork, rice must be washed 3 times, how Muslims have their halal and Jews their kosher etc, etc, etc.

All these 3 religions also believe in many of the prophets except that Jews do not recognise Prophet Jesus(pbuh) and Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) as messengers of God nor do Christians believe in Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w).

Why then do they like to fight so much?

In your opinion, what does this say to you?

"The Qur'an, in addressing the believers, often uses the expression, 'believing men and women' to emphasize the equality of men and women in regard to their respective duties, rights, virtues and merits. It says:

For Muslim men and women, for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in charity, for men and women who fast, for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in God's praise, for them has God prepared forgiveness and great reward. (33:35)"

If so then then ask yourself ..why bother?

The amount of people pouring out hatred and vitreol when attempting to deny the existence of God is not beyond belief, but is very logical.

One cannot be happy without knowing God
People who reject him to the degree that they feel the need to shout out their beliefs from the rooftops are being motivated by something a little bit deeper than that their favourite reality tv shows have finished.

Shaitan is always at work influencing believer and unbeliever alike.

To not only feel, but to publicly share such hatred towards God is evidence of this.

So if there truly was no God why would you care?

Without making a political statement, many Gay men died defending this country. But I'm afraid that if I wore a T-shirt to my neighborhood BB-Q that said Gay Veteran, I would get the hell beat out of me. Can Independence and freedom be celebrated in America without Prejudice in our time? What is freedom and liberty, when some people that are true patriot's like myself are excluded by society when it comes to celebrating our liberty? Gay Marine Veteran. Peace to all and Happy Independence Day!!!!!

Why would have a belief system to something that you say in the first instance doesn't exist? That's very silly. That's like me saying I'm antisantaclausism or I'm a antitoothfairiest.

An atheist whole belief system is based on something they say doesn't exist. I think just by pure implication, atheism actually points to the existence of God.

Back in the day when someone believed that the earth was flat, that belief was based on something that did exist, namely the earth.

When atheist say they don't believe in God or they don't have any god beliefs, they are supporting the existence of God. An atheist by definition is defined by God. You couldn't have an atheist if God doesn't exist.

Why, for those of you who believe, do you think woman was made from a rib? Why not the feet? Or part of the skull? Islam states that men and women are equal. Islamically, the men who are oppressing the women in the "islamic" countries have no right to do so, and will be sent straight to hell on Judgment Day for their mistreatment.

Woman was made from the side to be at the side. She was not made from the feet to be beneath him, not the head to be above him. She was made to stand at his side, and fully enjoy her life as he enjoys his.

What is your opinion on this? There is a very popular poem about this but I was unable to find it. If somebody has it, will you please post it here?

Doesnt believing in the concept of original sin make God a cruel entity. Why would God burden a human child with a sin that he never committed. I would certainly not worship an entity which doesnt give human a choice and declares him/her "sinner" from the very beginning.

What are the big issues in Christianity?

• What happens to you when you die?
• How did we get here?
• What's the meaning of life?

What do they have in common? We don't know the answer to any of these questions.

Science has given us a decent understanding of one of them, and is beginning to shed light on another... but all three questions are unanswered.

Christianity offers simple answers to these big questions that everyone asks at some point in their lives... the problem is that it does not offer sufficient evidence to support these answers. We are expected to believe, by faith, that these answers are correct... and today, with the knowledge we have contrary to these claims, we are expected to ignore real evidence and believe, by faith, that what was sufficient millennia ago is still sufficient today... sans inquiry.

These 3 questions are valid ones, that deserve proper inquiry and evidentiary support... not superstitious opinion.
