People keep telling me they are evil but no one has any real facts or statements explaining why. I'm very curious.

The perfect shape is the circle, therefore the perfect reasoning is circular reasoning. I am a big advocate of it. To apply the power of circular reasoning to your life, do the following:

Next time it's real late and you are all in your pajamas, get out the Ouija Board and turn out the lights and turn on a flashlight or two. When the giggling stops, ask the Ouija if it is evil. If it says no then you can trust it. Why? The incredible power of circular reasoning.

You asked the board and it said it wasn't evil. It can't be evil because it distinctly told you it wasn't. You can rely on it because a non-evil board wouldn't lie and you know it isn't an evil board because it TOLD you it isn't evil. See? Not even the biggest skeptic headed person could poke holes in that logic.

Plus, if you find a cynic who won't listen to even Circular Logic, you can rely on the fact that Parker Brothers is a major corporation so it wouldn't produce, market and sell an evil product.

(by the way, if it says Yes when you ask it if it's evil, that's just one or more of your friends cheating. Tell them they can't have any more smores if they keep cheating.)

They are NOT evil. Creatures are evil, but objects tend to not be... yet are inhabited with evil or nice creatures (like bugs or spirits).

Ouija boards are just scary to people because they actually seem to work in large groups and so the illusion of having a communication with a spirit freaks people out... especially those that think EVERYONE is weak-minded when it comes to spirits/demons.

That would depend on what you would consider as proof, but the Bible speaks of a certain servant girl, with a spirit, a demon of divination, she used to furnish her masters with much gain by practicing the art of prediction. The apostle Paul was able to free the girl from the power of this wicked spirit, and she was no longer able to fortell the future(Acts16:16-19)Many people are lured to the demons by these spiritistic practices, with facination, so they become involved with witchcrafty, voodooism, hypnitism, magic, astrology, ouja boards or something like these, but all of these are unwise for those who want a good relationsahip with the true God for the Bible tells us that those who practice such things will not inherit God's kingdom(Galatians 5:19-21)and in Revelation 22:15) those who practice spiritism are put in the same category as fornicators, murderers, liars, and idolaters.Although people are very interested by these spiritistic things what most of them, however, do not realize that they are actually becoming involved with wicked spirits who do not have their best interests in mind.Wicked spirits have the power to hurt and harm. They are vicious. And before Jesus jails them in destruction forever, they are doing all they can to bring humans under their wicked power.(Matthew8:28,29)So it's up to you if you want to be controlled by wicked powers or to be free from them.

The whole principle of Ouija is based around communicating with spirits.

God condemns that practice, in the Bible. Since the only spirits you can communicate with would be angels, and the ones who serve God are not going to disobey him; that leaves you with fallen angels who are out there to deliberately deceive you.

God warns us against communicating with spirits becuase opening the gateways of demonic activity is a path to being "given over" to the power of evil and deception.

Everyone I know who has played iwth that kind of thing has gone the way of sin and denial of God. The demonic deception gets them caught up in all sorts of whacky stuff.

Why not read God's word, believe what he says and do it? God will lead you into paths of righteousness and blessing.

How can a silly party trick be evil? There is nothing spiritual about ouija boards, their mechanism has been explained many times.

its technically practicing / believing in "magic" which is a no no in most religions. Might be the wrong word, but its like how going to a psychic is evil, since only god knows the future.

It's just a piece of cardboard and plastic with felt on the bottom to help it move smoothly. The movement itself is caused by the subconcious. If it wasn't you wouldn't even need to touch it.

There are biblical prohibitions against that type of behavior, so that is the origin for the belief that it is evil.

I have no personal belief on the matter as to whether their use is evil. If you were using it to get information for blackmail purposes - that could be evil. If you wanted to ask John Lennon why he thought Yoko was all that, that's not so evil. Just catty.

"Lev 19:26
Ye shall not eat with the blood; neither shall ye practise divination nor soothsaying."
