1. "Why do you not believe in hell?"
Jehovah's Witnesses do not belive in an eternal fiery hell for several reasons. The main reason is that God is loving and merciful (1 John 4:8; Exodus 34:6). Hell, if it were an eternal place of fiery torment, could never be considered loving and merciful. A person who died has paid his dept for sin. "For he that is dead is freed from sin." (Romans 6:7) Would God continue to punish someone after they have already paid for their sin? No, that would be unjust.

Another reason why the thought of such a place is inconsistent with Bible teaches is that the Bible says that a person who has died is unconscious (Ecclesiastes 9:5). The human being does not have a sould, he IS a soul (Genesis 2:7 says that Adam became a soul, it doesn't say he was given a soul). Furthermore, a human being, as a soul is not immortal. They can die. (Ezekiel 18:4). Hence, nothing of a human lives on after death that can be punished (Genesis 3:19). Death itself is the punishment for sin, nothing more (Romans 6:23)

The Bible speaks about hell. But hell is not a fiery place of torture. Hell is the common grave of mankind. Hell is where a person is laid to rest. Jonah, when swallowed by the fish, prayed for God to get him out of the "belly of hell" (Jonah 2:2). Was Jonah in a fiery place of torment? No, but that place would have become his grave had God not saved him. The fact that hell is the grave can be seen in Revelation. Perhaps you never noticed that in Revelation 20:13 it says that "death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them". Hell, or the grave will be emptied when God resurrects the dead back to life, just as Jesus said He would (John 5:28, 29). Then hell will be cast into the lake of fire along with those who do not obey God. (Revelation 20:14,15) The lake of fire also is not a fiery place of eternal torment. Rather, it symbolizes everlasting destruction. Hence, 2 Thessalonians 1:8, 9 states about those who do not obey God that they "shall be punished with everlasting destruction". Note that it does not say that they will be punished with everlasting torment.

2. "Do you believe that Jesus is God's Son?"
Jesus Christ is God's Son and Jehovah's Witnesses believe that. God himself confirmed that Jesus was His Son on numerous occasions (Matthew 3:16, 17; Luke 9:35). There is no doubt about that in the minds of Jehovah's Witnesses. We do not believe, however, that Jesus is God Almighty. Jehovah is God Almighty according to the Bible (Psalm 83:18). Jehovah is Jesus' father, of whom Jesus said "my Father is greater than I." (John 14:28)

3."Do you believe the only way to God is through Jesus?"
Yes. Jesus said "“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) Furthermore, Acts 4:12 says concerning Jesus; "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

4."Why do you follow your own book and not the King James?"
Originally, the Bible was written in the ancient Hebrew and Greek languages. The King James Version Bible is only one of hundreds (perhaps thousands) of Bible translations that have made it to the English language. Jehovah's Witnesses do not have their own 'book' like Mormons do. Rather, the Bible is the basis for their teachings and beliefs. The New World Translation is the Bible primarily used by Jehovah's Witnesses. It is a modern and accurate translation of God's Word the Bible and has been found easy to understand in comparison to the archaic English found in the King James Version Bible of four centuries ago. Several Christian religions do not use the King James version Bible.

I ask, please, to examine the scriptures that I cited in the answers above. These scriptures (and others as well) provide the basis for our beliefs on these particular topics.

I could go on and on about the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses. However, I think it would be better if I posted a link to the official website of Jehovah's Witnesses, so as not to take up any more space. The link will be a discussion on the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses and the Scriptural reason for that belief. I appreciate your respectful question and I hope my answer was helpful in building respect for Jehovah's Witnesses, as they know the Bible very well and practice what they preach. Good day!

Jehovah's Witnesses base all their ideals on God's observe the Bible. in case you come across something "arguable" then it fairly is obvious you have a project with the Bible. in fact Jehovah's Witness ideals are very clean: No trinity-illogical guy-made doctrine No hellfire-A loving God does not horrifically torment human beings Jesus is God's son-not in basic terms like the trinity doctrine that would not in fantastic condition with scriptures Preaching the stable information-this may be an figuring out mark of authentic Christianity Matt 24:14 .. alongside with residing in unity with Bible concepts God's kingdom will restoration mankind to the state God had purposed until eventually now Adam and Eve's insurrection wish this enables.

If you haven't noticed the entire book of Revelations was written in SYMBOLS. I'm not a JW but I can see that clearly. As for blood transfusions, it is repeated many times in the book NOT to partake of blood. It is something holy to God.

first of all, the correct definition of hell is: the common grave of dead mankind...everyone goes there when they die. The lake of fire? Means the second death from which there is no recovery...resurrection, just eternal death.

(Revelation 20:14) “. . .And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. . .” (notice, even death and the grave are thrown in to the lake of fire, meaning they will cease to exist, eternal death)

As for the Bible, there are many, many versions of the Bible, ours is just a much better translation, it has restored God's name, Jehovah in the nearly 7000 places where the King James took it out and replaced it with mere titles. God gave us his name so that we might get to know what it means and to help us get to know him better. When you meet someone, nearly the first thing you do is find out their name. You don't call them by titleas, like friend, co-worker, or whtever, you call them by name. It helps you to develop a more personal relationship with that person.

As for Jesus Christ, we absolutely do believe that he is the Son of God! His position is 2nd only to Jehovah, besides God, Jesus is above all others. We follow the commandments of Jesus very closely...who else do you know that truly goes out and preaches about God's kingdom, and tries to help people become disciples of Christ by teaching them the Bible? Everyone of us do.

(Matthew 24:14) “. . .And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come. . .”

(Matthew 28:19-20) “. . .Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded YOU. And, look! I am with YOU all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.””

Jesus taught us to pray for the sanctifaction of God's name, and the Kingdom to come...

(Matthew 6:9-10) “. . .YOU must pray, then, this way: “‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.”

He told us to seek this Kingdom above all else...
(Matthew 6:33) “33 “Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness, and all these [other] things will be added to YOU.”

Daniel prophesied about this Kingdom...
(Daniel 2:44) “. . .“And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;. . .”

(Daniel 7:13-14) “. . .“I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin.”

This Kingdom is an actual government, ruled from heaven...with earthly subjects

(Psalm 72:8) “. . .And he will have subjects from sea to sea And from the River to the ends of the earth.”

(Revelation 21:3-4) “. . .With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.””

Notice that it says the tent of God will be with "MANKIND", and "DEATH" will be no more....

(John 17:3) “. . .This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.”

KJV:

Rev 20:12And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Did you notice hell is also thrown in the the lake of fire?

Did you notice that the lake of fire is the second death?

What is death?

Acts 7:59And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

60And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

1 Cor 15:6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Matt 10:28And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Did you notice that the soul is destroyed in hell?
Did you notice that death is like sleep?

Did you notice these verse are all in the KJV?

Who does Jesus say he is?

John 10:36Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?

Who does God say Jesus is?

Matt 3:17And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus is the Way to God. Just as the gate is the way to Fred's house.

If you stopped at the Way, if we stopped at the gate would you really get to Fred's house, or are you outside of Fred's house at the street?

Because of inherited sin, there is a wall between us and God.

Jesus is the gate that allows us to approach God and get to know God.

Who is Jesus' God?

Rev 3: 12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God:

According to John who is Jesus' God and Father?

Rev 1:5And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

According to Peter who is the God and Father of Jesus?

1 Pet 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

According to Paul who is the God and Father of Jesus?

Eph 1:3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 17That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

Why don't you follow the KJV and worship the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ?

***HELLFIRE, is an obscenity that never even came up in the mind of Jehovah in the form of a quick death or sacrifice.
--The Moabites practiced live child sacrifice, of which the Israelites practiced and Jehovah condemned & expressed his
disgust, as Israel is compared to Sodom?:
(Isaiah 1:10-12) “10 Hear the word of Jehovah, YOU dictators of Sod′om. Give ear to the law of our God, YOU people of Go·mor′rah. 11 “Of what benefit to me is the multitude of YOUR sacrifices?” says Jehovah. “I have had enough of whole burnt offerings of rams and the fat of well-fed animals; and in the blood of young bulls and male lambs and he-goats I have taken no delight. 12 When YOU people keep coming in to see my face, who is it that has required this from YOUR hand, to trample my courtyards?...21 O how the faithful town has become a prostitute! She was full of justice; righteousness itself used to lodge in her, but now murderers. 22 Your silver itself has become scummy dross. Your wheat beer is diluted with water.
(Jeremiah 7:31) “31 And they have built the high places of To′pheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hin′nom, in order to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, a thing that I had not commanded and that had not come up into my heart.’”(child sacrifice--my comment)
--IF THE IDEA of even the burning of children or others for a brief toasting, was sickening to him, how in the world would he feel justified with, a forever burning?
