That is a lot of "virgin" births and all BEFORE jesus

Could it be that jesus was a rip off of one or all of the above stories ?

Well that is how it works for us common folk - but not if your a god apparently as they have had a multiude of "virgin" births - no guy involved

The point of the question is of gods have been having virgin births cetruries before jesus how is it special and

did they just rip off the whole story from some other god legend ?

It was all to control you and to teach you to submit to authority - and it worked

Shed the fear walk into the truth - jesus was a fable made up to put you under the Roman thumb and then a Kings and then a somthing else and a somthing else

Quexner_the_wonder_l…

Actually those gods did claim to be the son of god the lamb of god and a few other things -

It is actually pretty freaky and you wonder why they stopped teaching mythology in school

For a clue look into the writings of the very Catholic accepted Justin the Maryter - He is having all sorts of talks with Kings who don't want to give up thier saviour virgin born son of god for this new guy Jesus

Get this though

Justin the Maryter claims that the devil did those ones thousands of years before Jesus and so they should just worship jesus

If thats a claim your comfortable with

Ok then It is catholic approved it that makes you feel better

Bringing up a topic like this is like opening up Pandora's box, cause many people will go crazy over one belief as it would be their own.

Looking at a open minded rational perspective, the idea of a savior or deity being bored of a virgin would be similar to the modern equivalent of having a baby born on Valentine's Day. It represents much more by having certain circumstances surrounding it. So historically, it was like an archetype for anything along the lines of divine. Without that element, dieties would be like Boys Scouts without the uniform and motos drilled into their minds.

So anyones response would be based on their religion and how the chose to interpret something. But in respect to any religion and faith, the human element in a religion doesn't discredit the quality of the faith. That idea that their may have been previous dieties born of virgins, or so your sources say, that doesn't miraciously make the Catholic faith anyless genuine. If what your sources tell you to be true, and I'm sure the history text can back it up, then Catholics need to change some of the words in their prayers, but that doesn't mean that their doctrine needs a reality check with a history book.

There is countless historical and rational evidence to discredit ANY religion or faith, including those that refuse to claim a god. Which is why when it comes down to the wire, in a person's religion there will always be the element of faith.

I won't address all your assertions, but the one about Horus I have researched thoroughly. Isis was NOT virgin, nor was Horus visited by 3 kings. If the rest of your assertions are no more accurate than that one, you have a problem. Also, some of the supposed similarities between Jesus and Mithra depend on whether you are referring to the more ancient Persian Mithra, or the Roman Mithra which was popular around the time of Jesus. One last thing for now...that December 25th date....the bible makes no such claim for Jesus birth....December 25th was chosen centuries later.

Can you even elaborate on the differences between the Persian and Roman mithras? I doubt that you did anything more than cut and paste from a website.

Zeus came to Danae in a shower of gold and impregnated her.
Alcmene was a married woman who had not yet consummated her marriage. Zeus came to her disguised as her husband and she became pregnant. When her husband returned from war, she was impregnated by him as well and gave birth to twins.
A vestal virgin was raped by Mars and gave birth to Romulus and Remus.
These myths do not pre-date the Old Testament. Isaiah 7:14 speaks of a virgin conceiving and bearing a son.
The women in mythology had physical relations with the god, so technically were not virgins when they gave birth.

Neither...It is impossible...

It is possible for some of lower forms of life...but if we are created in God's image, we are not a lower form of life..

And do not give me that God make Mary pregnant story. That is nothing but Zeus knocking up a human woman and having Hercules as a son....Same story, one more time... Like a remake of Planet of the Apes...

The birth of Jesus is very unique. He was born in virtual anonimity in a stable. Mary and Joseph were both mortals and not of royal bloodlines nor were they personified as dieties.

Jesus came into this world proclaiming to be the son of God--something NO ONE else on your list did. He has been identified by religious and secular texts as to having been a REAL person.

He was divine but did not try to hide his human side.

And so ur saying all of the other virgin births were ripped off of the first? Well ok if there was that many virgin births then how exactly was Jesus's the only on that was a rip off? You make no sense. I would remove ur question it makes u sound unintelligent.

Those are all gods in a mythical place. This is a woman in Bethlehem. Jesus was in the flesh, step father was a carpenter. It is a humble and miraculous birth. In a manger, a place where animals eat or drink from.

im not understanding your question but if you infect semen into a woman's uterus she can be pregnant and bear a child, and still be a virgin so thats what's probably what jesus and those other people did.
