I found an acorn on the street just yesterday.

Several bird feeders in my neighborhood look as though they'd been pillaged by a furry friend.

And there is a war, someplace.

Are these clear signs of His return?

Think Dawkins at the Creation Museum.

In college a professor told us that in the land of the blind the one-eyed man was king. Fresh from high school, I knew what a load of b.s. that was. I challenged him on it. Needless to say, he wasn't thrilled and acted as if he didn't get my point but to heck with that - I got my A.

Seeing as how many Christians automatically make outcasts of those who are "too tolerant" (although murder, rape and pedophilia are fine if you apologize to the Lord), I imagine that any one-eyed person there (say a gay man, or someone pro-choice) would automatically be considered deplorable.

What say you, peeps?

So I was thinking the other day about how weird the English language is and slang in general.
Take the word Baby, can be used as a term of endeerment.
Shorten it to Babe, and you're describing a cute person.
Add an L and you get Babel. Which is the worst movie ever made.

I was so mad after watching it that I instantly went outside and starting stepping on ants. I had just had to get revenge on something after that. So the next day there's this guy at work right.. I guess I shouldn't be mean cause he has that disease. You know the one where you're head is permantly up your ***, I guess it's hereditery.

I say to him, "Dude, Babel, you gotta watch that movie. It'll change your life, oh and Brad Pitt. Amazing"
"Yeah? Ok, I'll probably see it tonight."

Next day he comes in and tells me how much he hated the movie. And I'm like, "What, wait, did you get the categorical sylogism in that scene-blah blah blah."
"um... yeah.. yeah I got that."

No, you didn't, watch it again

English = weird

or recorded anything about his alleged Resurrection or the alleged Ascension? Only a handful of promoters of Christianity have written about it...... decades later. Would this not have been, at the very least, the event of the week?

There are no true atheists.
Someone said there will be no atheists in a crashing plane..
THEN they will be crying to the God they said they did not believe in.
What are your views?

Lets say Jesus never was crucified, lets say Muhammed never ascended into heaven , lets say Budda stayed in the jungle, lets say that the world had no religious knowledge, who really believes that we would still exist? And if we did, how much BETTER would this world be?

why do you insist on criticizing God and those who believe in him?

ok so you arent a believer - but yet you still want to talk about God all the time even if its just saying bad things about him

I'm not Mexican - and I dont spend my time bad mouthing Mexico or their people.

I just dont get why people who dont believe spend so much time talking about something they dont believe in or have anything to do with

When you look at it, God created the heavens and the earth. Then he flooded the earth, destroyed cities. He sent his son down to earth (supposedly), ascended his physical body into heaven (still not sure why he needed his body).
However, all that he has done lately is show up on some grilled cheese sandwiches and tortillas when they are burnt. Does that mean God is looking to work at a fast food place? Why the change and lack of power now?

And by the next century they will all be outgrown by Atheism? This is the way I see world religion going. Religions will become more violent trying to hang on to what they have left. Christians will be drawing little fishes in obscure places as a sigh they still exist?

Why did you allow education to lure you away from faith in the Creator of all life?

Why have you fallen prey to cunningly false teachings that attack faith in God?

Why have you allowed your innocence to become contaminated by theories and philosophies that have turned you away from faith?

Hebrews 6:1
"Therefore, leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works(false views), and of faith toward God.

In other words, those who have been enlightened by the word of God should guard their minds against the fase philosophies of this world. Don't allow yourself to be taken again by dead works. Maintain your faith in God.

Deke invited me over for some Greco-Roman wrestling, and I accepted. But when I showed up at the door, he was covered in Pepto Bismol head to toe, except his genitalia and rear--they were covered in chunky peanut butter. I saw behind him two young Vietnamese boys that were dressed like Santa's little helpers, but they were blindfolded and gagged. I fled.

Should I alert the authorities?

I found Shelley Yates a credible speaker, aparently a sceptic with an incredible experience. Especially interesting to me was her her reference to 2012, which is the year that the preChrisianity Mayans prophecise great change for this earth.
sure would welcome some input and or book, website references

I have a friend who was raised in the JW's but has since left the church. She was telling me that in her church parents were required to use corporal punishment, often very severe such as spankings with boards and belts and such on their children as often as possible. Now im just wondering if anyone knows if this is actually a JW rule or if it was just the specific leaders in her church that seemed to be bent on pushing parents to use frequent spanking in their parenting?

If man never came up with the writing word and we as a people were left to answer some of life's questions by ourselves with no "GOD" answers and we made decisions on our own (which in this day and age isn't possible), what would be the most popular answer to this question:
Scientists have been finding bones of reptiles and other beings for years, so we know that dinosaurs truly existed. What we have yet to find is a human skeleton that comes from around the same eras, so that would tell us that humans probably didn't exist at the time of dinosaurs , so EXCLUDING the creation theory, what would be the most promising answer to this question: If "GOD" didn't put us here, who did?

just as heterosexuals are not all promiscuous or prostitutes although some definitely are...it's quite unreasonable to say that being gay only means lots of sex with lots of guys and drugs and booze and promiscuity and disease and that you are going to hell... no, that is so wrong. There is no one gay lifestyle... there are as many lifestyles as there are gay people ...as there are people having lives.

Did he make mistakes in the old one?
Was he short sighted and did not understand humans well enough the first time?
Did he fail to communicate in an effective manner the first time?
How did god screw up the first covenant?
