Alright, I'm not sure exactly why I'm asking this here, as the caliber of answers is typically pretty low, but I guess it's because I have nothing better to do with my time. Anyways, this is a serious question, and I'd appreciate legitimate answers, but whatever.

So, my question is this: If there is in fact a God who wants us to believe in him, wants us to have a relationship with him, then why does that seemingly have to come at the cost of logic? I am an extremely logical person. I am all about facts and reason. This is who I am. If I am a product of God, then why does he create people like myself? Surely he must know that people like me must have an immensely more difficult time accepting something purely on the basis of belief, and as a result are vastly more likely to reject such a belief, so what I want to know is, why does he do it? Are the people who don't question things just luckier, or are they actually favored? I really don't get this. Does anyone have any insights here?

Advertising their religion with those Watchtower Literature? Does one religion requires that much advertisement? What are they afraid of if they start advertising their religion? Are they "religion pushers?" Why are they always trying to convert people into Jehovah Witnesses? What if I don't want to be a Jehovah's Witness? What if I don't want to read their lame Watchtower literature, and don't want you coming to my house? I don't want to join a cult.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION -- Mary was preserved from all stain of original sin from the first instant of her conception. ("Catechism" 490-492).

In Luke 1:46-47, Mary said: "My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour". Mary knew that she needed a savior.

The doctrine of the Immaculate Conception was first introduced by a heretic (a man whose teachings were officially declared to be contrary to Church doctrine). For centuries this doctrine was unanimously rejected by popes, Fathers and theologians of the Catholic Church. (Note 13)

I'm just curious. If someone does not believe in a supreme being - be he/she/it good, bad, indifferent or more than one - what is the intrigue for reading, questioning and responding on the R&S site?

If God created me with a mind that simply cannot logically conclude that He exists, how can he punish me for not believing in Him? He created me this way, it's entrapment!

Or that we were maybe placed on this planet as some kind of evolutionary experiment the first scenario is good from an evolutionists point of view. But how many creationists believe in the second scenario (if any).

Have you seen the laying on of hands in healing?
Have you see sick people raise up and walk?
Do you have faith enough to stand up and say you believe the whole complete words of Jesus? therefore you should have his power also.
Dose everything spiritual need to be biblical based?
Can you read the bible and not follow it?
do you believe everything you preacher says or do you read the bible yourself?
Can you back up every thing you believe up verses and chapters in the bible?
Or are you just follow the foot prints of another who maynot be walk according to the bible?
The reason why I wrote this question is because on some of my question I get people saying it is not biblical based and nothing more-if you feel it is wrong then show why or are you afraid to voice in more details? To some people who are seeking answers read others just to see what they think . My thing is you have a right to disagree as long as you point out more then one simple word of
That is not biblical.

Christians are against abortion because it goes against God's will by causing babies to die sooner, even if the babies will go to heaven after the abortion. They do not support abortion because only God is supposed to decide when it is a persons time to die. Christians support a cure for cancer though, since it helps people live longer and because that is God's will.

So to sum up, abortion is bad because it goes against God's ability to decide when someone should die, and a cure for cancer is good.

Am I understanding it correctly? I understand I have already asked some questions on the subject but I just want to make sure I am clear on the issue.

I'm 15, and I've been bound by temptations for quit awhile.......so I realized one day that I didn't want to sin any more...

so I peel open the Bible a read that "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak"(Mark 14:38) &

"No temptation has overtaken you except such as in common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it" (1 Cor 10:13)

so I prayed on it, and asked the Lord to take the desire away....... and day by day, I feel myself transforming into what God wants me to be.......now the things that use to be so appealing to me, that was not of God, is disgusting and iritating..

I just thank God, because this is what I want to be..........I want to be more like God, so when the hard trials come, I will be able to overcome it...........

Why is it that I've heard 2 people in the last week say that Catholics aren't Christian? Has anyone else heard this and what are your thoughts on it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but Catholics believe in the Holy Trinity, that is to say that they worship God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit as one entity. Furthermore, they do not worship saints as idols, as people have stated here and other places previously. They have "Adoration" for God and "Veneration" for the saints, in other words, they worship God, but hold the saints in very high regard.

Am I wrong on this or are people misinformed?
