There is no biblical warrant that says all babies go to heaven. That doctrine is based on human traditions, as opposed to Scripture.
We are against abortion because it kills an innocent life, and we believe that life is precious. People are made in the image of God, and therefore have value.
God thought that we were important enough for Him to send His Son to pay the penalty for our sins. With all that in mind, we defend the cause of those who have no voice in the "choice."
It is because we consider life precious that we support research for all manner of disease, including cancer.

The whole notion that baby's go to heaven is a little shaky. Some sectors believe it while others do not. There really is not much in the Bible that really helps us to understand what happens when a person who does not have the cognitive ability to understand the gospel dies. The only text that I know people point to is the one in 2 Samuel where David stops weeping when his child dies. When he stops weeping he says, "I can go to him, but he cannot return to me." Most people take this as a tacit explanation that he will be with the child in heaven. However, at the same time, it could just be a reference to Hades (the after-life). We are not sure and I personally feel it is a little bit presumptuous to make the claim.
However, I would say the issue about abortion is more serious from a Christian worldview. Abortion is intentionally killing a person, which violates one of the Ten Commandments. While some people will justify abortion by calling it a right to protect one's body, one must ask if the member's of our society (babies in the womb) who do not have any status or say do not also have the right to life. I would argue that we all have such a claim to life, including those in the womb. Thus, I do not merely see abortion as usurping God's authority only, I see it as violating one of the basic commandments.

I don't think you have it clear, at all.
The argument that Christians have against abortion is the fact that the bible states you should not kill. Christians consider abortion murder, as they believe that an unborn child has life.
As far as a cure for cancer... How can anyone be against that? Jesus healed many when he was here on earth. Now, God uses doctors and scientists to cure people.
It has nothing to do with going against God. If it is God's Will for you to live you will. if it is not, you won't even if there is a cure.

I find your logic an attempt at manipulating peoples thoughts.
Both of these issues are a right to life. Children should be allowed to live, why take away their chance to have life? Curing cancer allows for prolonged life and a better quality of life. Both are a promotion of life and if at any point Gods judgment is that no matter what the effort it is someones time to go then no treatment will save them.
Who are we to decide for ourselves when anyone should die? That is the real question.

Those are two totally different things!!!
Babies did not ask to be here, so does that give us the right to KILL THEM???
Cancer is something that is developed in our bodies and if it is not time for us to go to heaven, there is nothing wrong with finding a cure for that. We all have a set date and time that we are going to die. We just don't know when..

I am not an expert on Christianity, but I believe that you are wrong. Catholicism holds that aborted fetuses DO NOT go to heaven. They go to purgatory. I do not know of the other sects of Christianity though.
Judaism allows abortion in some cases because they do not believe that a fetus is a fully formed human.

Abortion is wrong only because it is an act of one's will over another that results in that persons death. Eternity has no bearing on the subject.
Harming some one else and taking their life is the central point. If not why would any type of murder be wrong? Helping the sick is an act of love and kindness how can you be confused and how are the two connected?
What is Love? Murder or Life? Helping or Harming?
