Just the way your wrote your question tells me that you don't want to solve your own problem, you want something outside to do it for you. In that case you should make an appointment with a doctore and have them prescribe something. I you are willing to help yourself then people here can help you.

Our minds tend to be like filing cabinets that are being kept by a very good secretary who has gone through a lot of stress and that secretary is jamming files in without bothering to see where they should be. As the boss you have to determine the problem and set it right. Bad part is that you cannot fire the secretary and hire a new one.

First thing is writing down what is bothering you and be very honest! Then you need to look at each thing and decide if it needs to be kept or thrown away. For those items that need to go, write them down and burn the list and tell yourself that it is causing you trouble and that you are blessing it on. If you don't let go then you are wasting your time. Put these things down and leave them there.

That which you can't get rid of needs to be thought over very well. No hand wringing or woes me thoughts, but thought that make you feel that you are sifting through these problem. Solutions are often easy, but painful.

Take a ritual bath in lavender and camomile before bedtime. As you undress for your bath pretend you are taking off those problems and let them remain in your cast off clothes. You need candles and all the wonderfully romantic things and treat yourself like the Goddess you are. This bath is intended to get you in touch with your Goddess within and give you a warm safe place to work on these final problems. Answers maybe painful, but they can only make things better seeing they are making you upset. Ask Goddess for strength and understanding and let her direct your dreams toward the solutions.

I have been a Witch for 53 years and I can tell you I have had my bad days. If I hadn't taken these problems and demanded an answer of myself on how to fix them, they would have overwhelmed me. We get ourselves into most of the messes that cause our problems and if we got into them, then we can get out of them.

Good wishes for your problems. You have the answers and you CAN fix this.

Brightest blessings.

Don't just treat the symptoms; treat the issue behind the symptoms. Why are you stressed out? Stress is the minds way of telling the body it is overworked. First figure out what's really bothering you - job, personal life, not enough time, etc.

Choose a God to help you out depending on the problem. For instance, if it's your love life, Freya or Aphrodite - both Goddesses of love - might do the trick. If it's the job, maybe look to Athena - Goddess of craft. You get the point. Of course, you'll have to know a little bit about the Gods/Goddesses to do this. Pick one you feel comfortable with.

Do a ritual asking for that Gods/Goddesses desired strength in your stressful situation. The Gods/Goddesses have more than one attribute - Athena is the Goddess of craft, but also of warfare. So don't just ask for her strength - you might get the warrior aspect! Ask directly for her strength in craftsmanship and her wisdom to deal with people. I won't go into details here about ritual - if you don't know how to construct one yet, there are plenty books out there to help you; plus you aren’t advanced enough yet to even be doing this at this point. If this is the case, just say a simple prayer to the God/Goddess

Throughout the day when you start to get stressful in your given situation, take a moment to feel the strength of your God/Goddess fill you up with energy. Also, be sure to get enough sleep! Hypnos - Greek God of sleep may help you with that. Of course, for magick to work, you must be doing what you can to change the situation as well. Try to change what it is that stresses you out and always, be sure to thank your God/dess, they like to help but also want credit!

Tessa, allow me to answer the last question first. Yes, Wicca IS real. Wicca is a Religion and as such, we give honor to BOTH a Goddess and a God (although there are exceptions to that (Dianic Wicca, being one)). We also acknowledge the Divine as being manifest in the Natural world around us, which kind of gives non-Wiccans the impression that we worship Nature. It is not Nature that we worship it is the Divine, and nature is only the conduit through which we do so. Wicca do not worship idols, we worship in front of statues (again there are many exceptions to this as well (Green Witches come to mind)). Christians do not worship the cross, they worship what the cross represents, it is precisely that same principle in Wicca. We conduct our ceremonies during the full moon (some also the new moon), and eight Sabbats which are spread out over the year (What many Wicca call the Wheel of the Year). These celebrations re-live certain phases in the life ages of the Gods and Goddesses and are done in commemoration of these Divine events. The Wicca recognize the existence of good and evil as inherent is ALL things, everything and everyone has the capability for BOTH (Even the Divine). Evil therefore, is an integral part of everything and one can not have one without the other. The key to this is balance, Wicca hold the concept of balance to be one of the core principles of the universe and al which exists. So, to answer your first question, there is NO being which is totally good or totally evil, only the intent of the individual determines whether a thing or an action is for good or evil. Therefore, as there is NO being assigned the nature of total evil (ie, a devil) it is impossible for us to worship such a being. NOw, as many member of Judeo-Christian-Islamic Faiths are so fond of stating in unequivocal terms, "if you do not worship the god of light and love, then you are worshiping the devil". They fail to realize that in order to worship anything or anyone, then worship MUST be the intent. There is no such thing as unknowingly worshiping anyone. We can NOT worship a concept which does NOT exist to us, therefore we do NOT worship the "Devil", as the "Devil" is NOT one of the Divine being concepts which exists within the Faith system of Wicca. It is as simple and direct as that. Does this make sense to you? Brightest Blessings, Raji the Green Witch

Exhaust the means at your own hands first... which might simply be to either meditate in some kind of way which returns you to the basic of life (no Mr. Miyagi jokes here okay?) which is the breath, or a deity that inspires you, or get some professional help if you think you need it. The whole idea about stress is that we usually don't take time for ourselves (to keep the body healthy, not selfishness) and a simple return to the basic needs of life and the body can help. Otherwise I suggest you trim the "fat" off of whatever leaks over into your life causing you all of that stress. No shame in getting help if you need it.

It doesn't work that way in Wicca. You can cast a circle and ask a god for help but honestly, it means very little. Sometimes life is stressful. Its part of life. You have to ride it out and it will make you stronger in the end.

I would say pray to your patron deity. Whomever it is that you worship on a regular basis, that's who you should be praying to. If you don't have one, try doing some research about healing deities or earthmother types. You also might look into some grounding techniques (as your illness seems to be stress related). Also, make tea. Real tea. and drink it. Scull Cap and Damiana are good stress relievers. So is chamomile. Make yourself a nice cup of tea with a bit of honey and reconnect with yourself.

The God or the Goddess or an aspect of either I suppose. I mean they don't fix it or anything. There are a probably 20 rituals you can do but I'm not versed enough in any of them to tell you.

Pray to your gods....

Assuming you're Wiccan, that is, because I can't fathom how a Wiccan wouldn't know that, sorry.

I would recommend the Hindu mantra Asatoma Ma Sadgamaya.

"Asatoma Ma Sadgamaya
tamaso ma jyotirgamaya
mrtyorma amrtam gamaya"

Translated:
"Lead me from the Asat(Untrue) to the Sat (True).
Lead me from darkness to light.
Lead me from death to immortality."

Phonetic:
"Ah-sah-TOM-a ma SAT-gah-mah-yah
Tah-mah-so-mah Tyo-TEER-Gah-Mah-Yah
Mree-TYO-Mah Ahm-ree-TAM-gah-mah-ya"

Can be used as a mantra or as a chant or as a quick prayer. It asks for guidance in all things - To find the truth hidden among the illusion. It helps one find what is real, what is Sat. What is important.

Try This!!!

1.Each morning upon rising, and each evening before sleeping, give thanks for the life within you and for all life, for the good things that Wakan Tanka ---Creator has given you and for the opportunity to grow a little more each day. Consider your thoughts and actions of the past day and seek for the courage and strength to be a better person. Seek for the things that will benefit others (everyone).
2.Show Respect. Respect means “To feel or show honor or esteem for someone or something; to consider the well being of, or to treat someone or something with deference or courtesy.” Showing respect is a basic law of life.
o-Treat every person from the tiniest child to the oldest elder with respect at all times.
o-Special respect should be given to Elders, Parents, Teachers, and Community Leaders.
o-No person should be made to feel “put down” by you; avoid hurting other hearts as you would avoid a deadly poison.
o-Touch nothing that belongs to someone else (especially Sacred Objects) without permission, or an understanding between you.
o-Respect the privacy of every person, never intrude on a person’s quiet moment or personal space.
o-Never walk between people that are conversing.
o-Never interrupt people who are conversing.
o-Speak in a soft voice, especially when you are in the presence of Elders, strangers or others to whom special respect is due.
o-Do not speak unless invited to do so at gatherings where Elders are present (except to ask what is expected of you, should you be in doubt).
o-Never speak about others in a negative way, whether they are present or not.
o-Treat the earth and all of her aspects as your mother. Show deep respect for the mineral world, the plant world, and the animal world. Do nothing to pollute our Mother, rise up with wisdom to defend her.
o-Show deep respect for the beliefs and religion of others.
o-Listen with courtesy to what others say, even if you feel that what they are saying is worthless. Listen with your heart.
3.Respect the wisdom of the people in council. Once you give an idea to a council meeting it no longer belongs to you. It belongs to the people. Respect demands that you listen intently to the ideas of others in council and that you do not insist that your idea prevail. Indeed you should freely support the ideas of others if they are true and good, even if those ideas are quite different from the ones you have contributed. The clash of ideas brings forth the Spark of Truth. Once a council has decided something in unity, respect demands that no one speak secretly against what has been decided. If the council has made an error, that error will become apparent to everyone in its own time.
4.Be truthful at all times, and under all conditions.
5.Always treat your guests with honor and consideration. Give of your best food, your best blankets, the best part of your house, and your best service to your guests.
6.The hurt of one is the hurt of all, the honor of one is the honor of all.
7.Receive strangers and outsiders with a loving heart and as members of the human family.
8.All the races and tribes in the world are like the different colored flowers of one meadow. All are beautiful. As children of the Wakan Tanka---Creator they must all be respected.
9.To serve others, to be of some use to family, community, nation, and the world is one of the main purposes for which human beings have been created. Do not fill yourself with your own affairs and forget your most important talks. True happiness comes only to those who dedicate their lives to the service of others.
10.Observe moderation and balance in all things.
11.Know those things that lead to your well-being, and those things that lead to your destruction.
12.Listen to and follow the guidance given to your heart. Expect guidance to come in many forms; in prayer, in dreams, in times of quiet solitude, and in the words and deeds of wise Elders and friends.

Wahoo!!!
