Well, people have been expecting the rapture and finding clear signs of it for the last 2000 years, what makes you think you'll be luckier than the thousands of generations that lived before you, all of whom believed with certainty the rapture was imminent?
Hell, even the gospel writers thought the rapture would occur during their lifetimes! Peter, Paul, John, they all mention it coming soon and that they expect to be taken up in it, and Jesus even says (a couple of times) the rapture will occur within the lifetime of his apostles. Peter says he's living in the end of days, John says the same thing and mentions that the antichrist is already on the planet as he wrote the gospels, and so on. If you want to go by the bible, the rapture should have already happened around 2000 years ago.
So it comes down to this... Either you missed the rapture or the bible is wrong. What do you think the most likely?
Seems quite clear there have been no end times, so the bible is wrong.

I am going to write this with the assumption that it will happen at all. For people who do not believe in it, then the question is already answered! For the sake or argument, though, I think that it is impossible to predict. If you believe in the Bible, Christ himself even said that no one knows. Only God knows. Wars? Bah. Wars have been happening for centuries, and people have been predicting the rapture because of them equally as long. The middle east? The middle east has been up in arms for ages. No rapture. Volcanoes? That is silly. Volcanoes have been erupting for centuries, and people have been predicting the apocalypse because of them since before Christianity! Even the apostle Paul thought that it would happen in his lifetime. He was wrong. They have all been wrong. So what makes you think your parents have some kind of insight that Christianity's greatest apostle didn't have? Because we are at war... again? Every five years or so someone comes around predicting the end of history, and time after time after time it is a bunch of hooey. Odds are very unlikely that you'll live to see the rapture. No sense in wasting your time even thinking about it. Even if it turned out they were right, your parents are being paranoid. They don't know. No one does.

If you have read Isaiah, Daniel, and Revelations, you will see that for the FIRST time in all of history that the Old & New Testament prophesies that preempt the "being caught up with the Lord" (Rapture=modern english word for it) that occurs just before The Great Tribulation begins have been fulfilled. Only God Almighty knows the EXACT day and the hour of Jesus' return for His Bride(Christians), but it could be today. We are THAT close.

Volcanoes are an earth event. The true rapture is one of the Soul when it is linked with the purpose of Higher Will and Spirit.
Soon is a realtive term relating to time. In the mind of God there is no concept of space and time.
Only the light of pure love.
Namaste

My opinion would not rely. Neither does every physique else's. besides the indisputable fact that, we are to be waiting each and every minute. So get waiting to fulfill you maker now. Matthew 25:one million-8 (KJV) one million Then shall the dominion of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to fulfill the bridegroom. 2 And 5 of them have been smart, and 5 have been silly. 3 They that have been silly took their lamps, and took no oil with them: 4 however the smart took oil of their vessels with their lamps. 5 on an identical time as the bridegroom tarried, all of them slumbered and slept. 6 And in the darkish there grow to be a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; bypass ye out to fulfill him. 7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the silly pronounced unto the smart, supply us of your oil; for our lamps are long gone out.

I think you live a Christian life and try to do good on this earth.
You don't know when the end (or your end) is coming - and many Christians interpret 'end time' scripture in a very different way than those who believe in the rapture.
Look at material from Sojourners for a different perspective from an evangelical source.

Sorry these thoughts and events were prevalent even in the disciples day. They were assured in their hearts it was coming any day.
The point is we will not know. There is no preparation for it so live like it will come tomorrow even if we have another thousand years.

a common idea is that it will be the year 2012 (the end of the Mayan calendar)
some myths speak of a planet crashing into Earth.
Planet would be big enough to:
1. block out sun
2. gravitational pull cause floods from oceans
3. etc...

Actually ONLY GOD KNOWS WHEN...
but my mom told me one convincing leading event...
In this time, days are going faster that you don't even realize it.
God said that He will quicken the days and He really did and its already started!
THE BEST THING TO DO IS BE PREPARED!
ACCEPT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AS YOUR SAVIOR AND REPENT NOW!

No, sorry, no rapture coming.
People have been predicting the return of christ since the day he died. In fact, the he told his apostles that he'd return in their lifetimes.
At this point, you need to start re-thinking the whole thing.
