It is not very clear what you mean. In any case, I don't think Yahoo! is racist at all. Some of the people here are racist, no doubt! But Yahoo! itself doesn't care about race either way. They just want to make their advertising money, which means getting as many of us to hang out here as possible. Racism would prevent them from doing this.

As far as free speech is concerned, it really does not apply here. Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT a public sphere. It is a private sphere owned and run by Yahoo!. The rules and regulations are clearly posted. When you sign up, you are agreeing to abide by those rules. So if you get banned or blocked or have a question or answer deleted, it is likely because you broke those rules. Yahoo! is well within its rights to boot people for this.

That said, I don't think it is right that Yahoo! does this without giving people an explanation. Even if someone comes on here and says the most racist, obscene junk they can come up with, they should be told so before their account is deleted, if only to protect the rest of us from getting our accounts deleted just because someone didn't like our answer and reported us or something. I doubt that happens often, but you never know. I did have an answer deleted once, and to this day I don't know why.

I am not sure if that is what you are driving at, but that is my response. Have a good one!

I think that yahoo must have thought the content in your question wasn't appropriate, due to the fact of someone flagging your question. Usually that is the only time they will look at you closely. I wouldpost the question again and again until i got my answer. But hey thats just me ;)

I hope you find the answer to this question that yahoo doesnt like lol

Um my email is always open u can find it on my profile. If i can help I will!

Freedom of speech is the freedom to say what you want without the fear of prosecution by the authorities, on YA, you have to follow the rules or you will not be able to post...there is a difference between freedom of speech and having a question taken off for not following the rules.

Free speech isn't about showing videos to insult.. There are children that are on this site. So your video must be offensive to some..

Would you show your mother this video or your children?

Then keep it off the Yahoo...

"this isnt free speech"

You're right - this isn't "free speech", because this isn't the Government.

Yahoo is a private entity and can make any rules it wants. You agree to those rules when you join.

Put on your big-boy pants and deal with it.
