Yes. You're right. Anything under the sun may be worshipped, and therefore may inspire a religion. People who have 100 cats have obviously chosen their god. People who own a house full of shoes have, too. As for Pepsi cans, maybe you should switch to diet Pepsi. You wouldn't want to worship something in your younger years that you wouldn't be able to be faithful to when you get old.

actually i think you could classify anything spiritual that you belived in deeply a religion.
u need a group of people+faith+something to have faith in+a few basic rules or principles that make it unique.
then u have a religion.

, My thoughts; first things first number one or first thing out of order is you said I, that's why Satan got his butt kicked out of heaven in the first place I, I, I, I myself me all the above gets a person in more hot water than anything.There two basic concepts; God and Satan, Heaven and Hell, Jesus and mankind. Jesus came and died and was resurrected so man could get back fellowship with God. If not man was merrily on his way to eternal damnation Hell! Doing, worshiping, anything other than fulfilling what Jesus say we should,be doing in order to please God and be bless by God is religious. Doing anything outside of the will of God would be considered religious. self will or mans will. following someone else.

you have to have atleast 10 million followers, be recognized lawfully as one and/or not be seriously laughed at by Hindus in order for it to be a religion.
(Hindus = pantheists)
otherwise, it's a cult
