When you look at it, God created the heavens and the earth. Then he flooded the earth, destroyed cities. He sent his son down to earth (supposedly), ascended his physical body into heaven (still not sure why he needed his body).
However, all that he has done lately is show up on some grilled cheese sandwiches and tortillas when they are burnt. Does that mean God is looking to work at a fast food place? Why the change and lack of power now?

Now we can look at cities that "God" has destroyed and say "oh, that's an earthquake" or "Oh that's a hurricane." The ancients didn't have the tools to understand what was happening. Ergo, God was invented.

god and the devil are sitting right now playing chess and betting about our destiny. there is a god, who sent us to earth to be punished just for bitting an apple, which he placed there for temptation. who created a devil who can't trust or destroy. a god that gave his life for us to be saved, yet, we have to save our souls by ourselves. a god that is in every corner, every time watching us every single move we do, to see how we are doing, so he can punish us again if we don't do whatever he wants, he would send us to hell, to burn, yet he loves us. a god that has created so much suffering in this world, and he can't do anything about it. and the bible says that only a selected few will go to heaven. come on religion is been created by man, so he can control the masses. and after watching davinci's code, and read about the tombs found somewhere, where christ is being burried next to a hoe... don't know what to think.

Yes, God is either looking for a job as a sandwich artist or never really existed in the first place. Just as plausible as the FSM.

There is no change or lack of power in God right now. It is man's perception of his lack of power. Man is getting weaker, crueler, intolerant, closed minded, unforgiving, merciless. We as a society are creating the illusion God is not there or that he is becoming weaker. All that happens is for a purpose, a divine purpose, or a greater plan that may extend far beyond anything we can understand right now. God has been consistent, we are the ones who are wavering.

For starters, no person ever ascended into the sky unless they were in some kind of aircraft or were shot out of a cannon. Secondly, what kind of father would give his only son to a group of murderous people so that they could kill the son? Thirdly, who was the idiot that was trying to find a picture of this jesus guy on a cheese sandwich, or potato chip, or tree, or in the mud on the bottom of a shoe? Did you hear about the guy that jesus killed? yes, his jesus statue was on the dashboard and he wrecked his car. Drove jesus right into his brain.

Its a question of faith.
I remember believing in God and feeling that somehow he was close as a child.
As I got older, that feeling disappeared for some reason, and I did miss it.
A year ago I was at a low point in my life and for the first time in, well HE knows, I prayed for help.
It came...!
Now, that feeling is beginning to return, along with an inner strength I thought had long deserted me.
As I said, its a question of faith....!

Isaiah 40:28 - " Hast thou not know? Hast thou not heard? that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the end of the earth FAINTETH NOT - NEITHER IS WEARY! There is no searching of His understanding."

Verse 29 - " He gives power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increases strength."

Just wait, in 1000 years that grilled cheese sandwich will be the side of a mountain that was created when he shot forth giant fireballs against pagans worshiping there.

No. The Day of Jehovah is drawing near when he will smite all wickedness off this earth forever. That was promised in the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3:15
Nothing can prevent it from coming true it is a sealed fate.

I know you want an answer to give you hope, but I can't; sadly your fears are founded, god doesn't do much anymore, except in the case of people who stay home all day and pray on their hands and knees. Them he helps, but even then he doesn't do it in a big way.

Yes, my child, god is not doing stuff like he used to. When's the last time he changed the Nile River to blood?
