There are no true atheists.
Someone said there will be no atheists in a crashing plane..
THEN they will be crying to the God they said they did not believe in.
What are your views?

I agree. One day there will not be any athiests. The Bible says so:

For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

(Romans 14:11)

I'm agnostic and think that that is a load of bollocks, if someone didn't truly believe in God then there would be no need to be praying to one because you're facing death. In the end we all die anyway so ultimately there is no point in spending your life idolising a God which either doesn't give a shite or is just not there.

Religion is based on faith and that's something which science cannot prove because we all have the option to believe in such things but ultimately if you say your an Atheist then you don't believe in any God or religion so praying because you're scared of death is rediculous because you can't redeem yourself in one short prayer and even if you believed you could you'll only be fooling yourself because no one knows whether there is an afterlife or any Gods but one thing is for sure eventually we all die and its something no amount of faith can change or determine what happens when we die.

Disagree.

That is what many theists would like to believe, but it is just untrue.

Buddhists do not accept the idea of a permanent self and some are atheists...they accept the end without worry or wimper (especially, if they were Enlightened - some are).

True atheists are a bit more rare than true theists.

I disagree. The phrases that someone makes in the time of a stressful situation doesn't mean they truly believe in the deity they are crying out to. If an atheist says, "Oh My God", it is simply a common phrase, it doesn't mean that they suddenly believe in God. If a Christian sins, then they aren't suddenly a non-Christian. They make mistakes. Just because an athesit says the word God or even cries out in stress doesn't mean they are suddenly not an atheist.

So what you're saying is the only time to believe in god is when we're so scared we can't think straight. That sounds about right.

As others have said, this is just a rewording of the "no atheists in foxholes" argument, which is nicely refuted by the site http://www.atheistsinfoxholes.org

An atheist might cry out to God but I don't think the atheist would believe all of a sudden. It would be "just in case" there is a God.

You say crazy things when you are in a terrifying situation. People say "Oh my God" When something shocks them, saying this does not mean you have a god. Crying out God Help Me is just kinda like that.

I disagree because if they are true Atheists, then they won't be crying out to God.

Disagree -

One - saying there are no true atheists is like me saying that there are no true Christians. I am not qualified to make such a statement.

Two - If I am in a plane that is crashing I will probably be in a total state of uncontrollable panic. Anything I say or do is not a valid representation of my true beliefs.

Three - You assume that there is a god without proof.

It could be the case although it would only be due to rigorous christian programming that occurs to all British at least when they are in primary school. Im finding it hard to shake all that rubbish i was forced to believe in school; i dont believe, just i am so used to it being forced onto me by adults who, me being young at the time, i respected. It gives a believe that there are two options; the Christian God or no God. Near death Pascal's Wager seems alright.

Does anyone ever think logically at the time of their death?

In spite of all that i have just said; i am unsure as to what my reaction would be near the time of my death; i might just think about the people that matter to me and wish them well, say goodbye etc.

Disagree. This redundant question has been asked 100's of times. You want to have your existance in a sky daddy validated when you think people will cry out in desparate times.

Atheists are strong.
