If you could only pick one person to live who would you pick

I get these SMS messages like they were from God and I have no idea who sends them. They read like
"there is only one success, to be able to spend your life the way you want"

"If you learn to translate every event of your life into a positive one. you will stop being a prisoner of the past and become an architect of the future."

"God did not promise that life would be easy, but that he would be with you every step of the Way. Keep going."

People stopped worrying about how other people are living their personal lives and started concentrating on how they conduct their own life? It seems to me that there are an awful lot of busybodies, particularly among the Christian fundamentalist sects.

As long as no one is being hurt or engaging in illegal activity, doesn't it make sense to just mind your own business?

I do not want to hear becasue I believe in Jesus, because even satan believes and trembles. So what answer would you give to God as to why he should let you into Heaven?

Do you or your church support this liberal false organization? They teach false message from the bible. Just last week they claim that God didn't give Israel the land which they own.

An aquaintance was showing a few of us some card tricks at a party yesterday. After awhile, I looked up at him and asked "Are you playing on our predictability?" He said, "No, but yes people are predicable"..

Being the engineer that he is, I asked him if his brain helped? "Usually not", he tells me.

Hmmm. A self-aware engineer.

So, if you've become aware of your actions being predictable and typical, and have set about changing it. How have you done so? What's your tricks?

I mean, I've seen people that seem to hate it like the devil.
I myself have tried to tell people that some activity or action is a sin or is sinful and my goodness, you'd think I slapped them with a dead fish or somethin'.
I don't try to force people to do anything; I just try to help people see the Truth. if they don't want to hear it. That's fine with me.

If you do, then please answer me this.

What finite crime, and since our lives on Earth are finite we can only commit a finite crime, deserves a finite punishment?

How can an all-loving god hand out an infinite punishment? - do not claim that this is up to the individual. The individual decides to commit a 'crime' but it is god who decides to implement the punishment.

i have several questions regarding this:

1) when you say Jesus died for our sins, who is "our"?

2) if you still ask for forgiviness and repent, then what was the point of Jesus getting killed?

3) can you commit any crime you wish to do under the title "jesus died for our sins" and still will go to heaven?

4) do you think i should trust a person who says "Jesus died for our sins regardless of what crime we do?" that's mean he will not be afraid to do something bad as he believed he already been forgiven.

You say that we are always assaulting you with threats of hell, why do you care if you think it's a mystical place anyway?
You do recognize it as a bad thing uh?
I'll still pray for you but since you've rejected Jesus, you only have you to blame for not entering the Kingdom of Heaven.

I love submitting to him him as God commands, but other Christian women condemn me when I do so. How do I resolve this conflict?

2007-06-25 02:55:54 · 26 answers · asked by Anonymous

how about if every time you feel like praying for some group of people or another, instead you actually do something for them?
So, if you read a story about people who are homeless, instead of saying a prayer call a shelter and ask if you can volunteer for an hour. Or just drop by and give them $5.
If you see someone with Muscular Dystrophy, don't say days or weeks of prayer for them, send them money, or donate your time. Maybe you could even count these actions *as* prayers.
I'm sure these aren't new ideas, but I'll bet they'd do a lot of good for our world if people would act instead of pray.

A sacrificer and a suicidal? I mean; in The Movies "The Core", "Armageddon", "Independence day"; were the people who sacrificed themselves for the sake of their families, land, society; suicidal?

Were the three Jews "Old Testament refers to them as heroes" who challenged the Palestinians army and went through to bring the water to David "PBUH" suicidal or sacrificers?

The Allies soldiers who destroyed the Nazi tanks with their bodies and only their bodies, wearing a dynamite belt.. are they suicidal? Terrorists? Thank you in advance!

Most who believe in God feel that the world is unfolding as God sees fit, and that he has a master plan. For example (and JeanMarie, you inspired this question), a parent of an autistic child might pray for a better tomorrow for her child by asking for a miracle healing, or possibly a cure for the disease altogether.

If said parent is asking for something other than what God has intended, doesn't this go against God's so-called master plan? There are numerous real-life examples I could use, but I think most of you are intelligent enough to see where I am going with this.

Jessie Davis and her unborn baby were found dead. The father of the baby and her 2 year old son is, who is STILL married, is had been arrested in connection with the murder.

This guy's church (what kind of church supports a man who cheated on his wife AND could possibly be the killer of his mistress?) held a special service in support of him. What do you make of all this?
