A sacrificer and a suicidal? I mean; in The Movies "The Core", "Armageddon", "Independence day"; were the people who sacrificed themselves for the sake of their families, land, society; suicidal?
Were the three Jews "Old Testament refers to them as heroes" who challenged the Palestinians army and went through to bring the water to David "PBUH" suicidal or sacrificers?
The Allies soldiers who destroyed the Nazi tanks with their bodies and only their bodies, wearing a dynamite belt.. are they suicidal? Terrorists? Thank you in advance!

The difference between terrorism and a freedom fighter is based on WHAT the target IS. For example, the plane that flew into the Pentagon COULD have been seen as an action by a Freedom Fighter. It WAS a military target and the people that were killed there were an active part of the "percieved opressin" of the U.S. against the Muslim world. If that was ALL that occurred on 9-11 there may NOT have been as much of an uproar over it. However, the 2 planes that flew into the World Trade Center killed nothing but innocent civilians, It was a purely civilian target, withthe intention of being a big show on the part of Al Qaeda. That WAS Murder. No other way to describe it. No way to overlook it or justify that action whatsoever.
The same in today's Iraq, the suicide bombers who blow up market places and other civilian targets are NOT freedom fighters at all, they are murdering innocent men, women and children, just to make a point. That point being, "We can kill you anytime we want to. Because WE insist on being the powers that be. Because WE insist on YOU following OUR ways. We have NO tolerance for YOU whatsoever. You are meaningless to us.". The targets are chosen to inflict the greatest loss of life, and those who die are just pawns in their game of power and control. Those people are despicable. They blame the US on all their problems but do NOT take their fight to the US military but rehter kill their OWN innocent civilians. They are cowards. If they have to make a point why not take it to the people with whom they have the argument and leave the innocents out of it? For that matter, why not just sit down and DISCUSS your problems rather than have to resort to violence in the FIRST place? They are destroying ALL that was once beautiful in a part of the World that was once considered to be the "Cradle of Civilization". When did it start being acceptable to NOT behave in a civilized manner?

Hero of one community is a villain in the other. Suicide or sacrifice were the final tactics of war used in all ages. Kamikazes were the most common and best-known form of Japanese suicide attack during World War II. Tamil tigers are expert in this. They were always honoured as heros and their names respect from one side and were terrorists for the otherside. War anyway isn't a friendly game.

Notice they are all examples surrounded by war. To give up your life, in the midts of a mass loss of life, is no hero. The bible does not differenitate between either way. Suicide is the only sin you cant repent. It would suck if it was truely unforgivable.

Well you have given examples of soilders against tanks...those soilders did not disguise themselves and go blow up a bus load of civilians
Those movie heroes were either sacrificing themselves to save lives against natural disasters or against an attacking army...again they did not go and attack innocent civilians.
Heroes sacrifice themselves to save lives, terrorists sacrfice themselves to take lifes.
A terrorist is happy to die for his/her cause because they do not understand the value of life....
A hero would die for his/her cause but be much happier to life for it
Sacrificing what you do not value means nothing
Sacrificing what you value above anything else is a noble act.

Don't U think that this is something that only the person taking the Action could Truly answer??? We as Humans, try to make sense of many things, often assigning them "Special Attributes" such as with God for example. Ie. "The 'Rath' of God", "Gods' 'Love' " etc.. John

What Allied soldier ever did that?
Why didn't they just read a field manual and make some sticky bombs, like in "Saving Private Ryan"? Then they would only have had to destroy their socks....

Heroes fight for liberal democracy. Freedom of religion and freedom from religion, and the other basic freedoms.
Terrorists and other fanatics are only concerned with getting in to the afterlife and taking any infidel they can ith them.
