the statement may not be technically accurate, but I sit back and see a similarity. maybe because Religion has a role in politics, but on here (GENERALLY) no matter what a Christian says they are wrong to atheists and others and no matter what an atheist says they are wrong to Christians and others EXCEPT on them rare occasions.

I'm not criticizing, belittling, or being disrespectful to any group but does anyone else see similarities of the sort?

Ok, this is getting annoying.

If you are an Atheist and ask some insightful question and pose it in a kind way, you get "You're going to hell!"

And if you're Christian and ask some insightful question, you get: "There is no god"

Both totally ignore the question.

Why?

Please look at a map. Every one is saying that Jesus was not an Arab he was a Jew. Am I missing somethinghere or what? That is like saying I am a Zimbabwean not an African. Right? Were the Jews the only race from Judea? I doubt it.
Judaens were arabs,
Thus Jews were arabs,
Thus Jesus was an Arab!?
Or what?
Look at a map and tell me I am wrong. Anthropologically one cannot change genetic race by simply living 200miles away. The Arab influence runs 1000s of miles into even into Africa. But the Judaens wern't Arab?! That is a little hard to beleive.

If you tell them you are trying to help them see a better way they just freak out, yet they go door to door doing the same thing.

Is this Ironic to you that they want you to listen to them but the don't have any time to listen to you? And I mean really listen with an open mind.

I am only asking as my local council have had a 1920's church pulled down in a park where the scouts and cubs go camping as they do not want to offend the non-christians that are now members of scouts and cubs. I know several non-christians who are not offended so surely all this nonsense is making relationships between different cultures and religions worse. They have now offended all the christians by doing it.

3) Mohammed is not son of god like Jesus.... Muslims never say or claim he is

4) Women are treated like objects wearing veils... Actually they aren't, a lot of women who wear mini-skirts are treated like objects, like sex objects

Your whole life is built on myth, tradition and belief! Do you not think it is time you snapped out of, faced the truth of life and got on with it like non belevers do? I think you'll be a lot happier within yourselves when you drop the act and stop pretending there is some magical afterlife. When will you stop being cowards and realise that we will all die one day and that's the end?

If the Mormon Scripture reveals that God the Father has a tangible body of flesh and that He cannot dwell in a man's heart. (D&C 130:3,22,23). Then the Holy Bible says.
John 4:24.
God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and truth."

I have no real issues with people believing whatever they like, as long as it stays personal to them and doesn't harm others, but why is it that with billions of people following different religions (eg christianity, islam, sikhism, buddhism) can't they see that each of them has at best, only a 1 in 4 chance of being right?

Both Muslims and Christians love and respect Jesus (pbuh), where exactly is the parting of ways? The major difference between Islam and Christianity is the Christians’ insistence on the supposed divinity of Christ (pbuh). A study of the Christian scriptures reveals that Jesus (pbuh) never claimed divinity. In fact there is not a single unequivocal statement in the entire Bible where Jesus (pbuh) himself says, "I am God" or where he says, "worship me". In fact the Bible contains statements attributed to Jesus (pbuh) in which he preached quite the contrary. The following statements in the Bible are attributed to Jesus Christ (pbuh):
(i) "My Father is greater than I."[The Bible, John 14:28]
(ii) "My Father is greater than all."[The Bible, John 10:29]
(iii) "…I cast out devils by the Spirit of God…." [The Bible, Mathew 12:28]
(iv) "…I with the finger of God cast out devils…." [The Bible, Luke 11:20]
(v) "I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; b

Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

"Take your son, your only son – yes, Isaac, whom you love so much – and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will point out to you." (Genesis 22:1-18)
"These are the very ones who followed Balaam's advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD's people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves."-Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)
read the last line of that.

does it bother you that religion (or race or nationality or language) was something that you did not have choice in (for most of us anyway) ?

I sincerely hope I'm not offending anyone...This is something I feel sometimes. I mean, if I were born in another place at another time, I wouldn't be standing for the same things that I do now.

Hope you could make sense of that... And apologies if anyone finds this distasteful

Suppose you die and are presented before God; He offers you a simple choice:
Your acts in the world were such that your destiny is Heaven however you have the choice of foregoing that and ceasing to exist completely if you want to do something for humanity. So here are your options:
1- Go to Paradise for eternal life
2- Cease to exist completely and Africa will be a prosperous nation for the rest of its days without a soul going hungry.
What woud you choose?

Seriously, slavery, rape, arson, looting of cities, selling of daughters as sex slaves, physical impossibilities, mathematical impossibilities (that go against definitions guys) are all present. How can it be the absolute word of God? Seriously I don't think any divine being of any religion can be that inaccurate.
