Please look at a map. Every one is saying that Jesus was not an Arab he was a Jew. Am I missing somethinghere or what? That is like saying I am a Zimbabwean not an African. Right? Were the Jews the only race from Judea? I doubt it.
Judaens were arabs,
Thus Jews were arabs,
Thus Jesus was an Arab!?
Or what?
Look at a map and tell me I am wrong. Anthropologically one cannot change genetic race by simply living 200miles away. The Arab influence runs 1000s of miles into even into Africa. But the Judaens wern't Arab?! That is a little hard to beleive.

Arabs are descendants of Ishmael, whereas the Jews are descendants of Judah. While both individuals were sons of Abraham, it is wrong to call Jesus or the Jews Arabic, for neither descended from Ishmael. Ismael was both Hebrew and Egyptian and it was this admixture which resulted in the Arab people. Because the Arab people didn't come into existence until Ishmael, Jesus and the Jews, who are not descendants of Ishmael, cannot be Arab.

OK, just because one group only lives 200 miles away from another group doesn't mean that they are in the same ethno-linguistic group. The Jews were originally from Persia (an Indo-European language group area completely), as it says in the O.T. when Abram left his ancient homeland in Persia when his god told him to and set out for what was then called Canaan. The peoples living there at the time, the Philistines (and several other smaller semitc-speaking tribes), were originally from the Greek mainland and islands, as there language at the time, and all archaelogical evidence, shows. The Arabs at this time were still much farther south on the Arabian Penninsula and had yet to settle so far north. Now, linguistically, the Jews eventually adopted a semitic language like the Arabs and a few of the tribes living in Canaan, just like the Phillistines did. But Arabic wasn't the #1 language at the time, just one of many, many semitic languages spoken at the time. Much later, during and after the time of Mohammed, the Arabic culture and language swallowed up (through conquest) almost completely the entirety of the Arabian Penninsula, Northern Africa, Canaan all the way to Persia. The local cultures were erased or integrated into the Arabic one and local languages were replaced (and slightly integrated) until nearly the whole region spoke Arabic. This includes the Phillistines, who spoke originally an Indo-European language and today are directly genetically linked to modern-day Palestinias. So....no, Judeans were not Arabs, the Jews were not Arabs and Jesus was not an Arab. Oh, and geographically speaking, Palestine is not on the Arabian Peninsula. Dude, get your timeline straight. And open a history book. Oh, and go back and look at your map.

Jesus is a HEBREW - Jew is a nickname for Hebrew. But regardless, Jesus was not an Arab. And yes, you can live next to a race and be a completely different one. Isaac (which is where Jesus is derived) was a Hebrew, yet his brother Ishmael was an Arab, yet both are the sons of Abraham.

God Bless You

Jews have been Jews since 3000 BC or something, Gods chosen people since like 2000 BC, and Arabs are a completely different race.

Oh and as for the Zimbabwean thing. Yes they are but Arabia isn't the continent like Africa, Asia is. and Jew, Arabs, and Chinese are all considered Asian not Arabs. read some social science once and a while.

Both the Jews and Arabs decended from the ancient Semmites. You can say the Jews were one time Arabs, or the Arabs were Jews at one time.
I have looked at many many maps. Look at those that show civilizations through the thousands of years. All historians will agree that the Jewish civilization pre-dates that of the Arab.

I think that they are talking about cultures, and the Jews in the middle east were actually from Egypt, not from the middle east.

The Jewish culture vs other cultures of the time are a huge difference, but to call him Arab vs Jewish if talking about the location of birth... That is a very possible argument.

But the one things people don't accept is that for a fact, we know that Jesus was Roman, but not a citizen... He was still a Jewish citizen.

The Arabs were descended from Abraham's son with Hagar named Ishmael. The Jews were descended from his children with Sarah, Jacob and Esau.

Yes its true.

Actually the jews and arabs are so closely related...wikipedia says that the origins of palestinians are from the jews, who were originally from the middle east and so was Jesus.

Jews descended from Isaac
Arabs descended from Ishmael, his older brother.
Abraham, their father, was Persian.
So technically, Jews, Arabs and Persians are just different tribes of the same race, and the historical tensions and hatred among them is really just a family feud spun out of control.

Maybe you could use your persuasive skills to tell the so called "Palestinians" this. THEY are Arabs! There is no such thing as a Palestinian.
As for the Jews, it does not matter what the ancestors were. When GOD changes someone..they are changed! GOD called Abraham and told him that HE would make unto Abraham a Nation and that in that Nation, all the people of the earth would be blessed!
