This by the way, creationists, is what we call a Transitional Fossil. It may be difficult for you to understand, what with this being a REAL discovery and not something from an outdated book of bronze age jewish mythology, or some inane prattle from Kirk Cameron, but this is real life, and this is a real fossil.

I can prove that God exists just by looking at all that he has created yet Christians cannot prove that the bible is truly God's word and not some book made up by man

Was your religion based on knowledge, or on experience?

Would he have armed body guards? Would he live in a palace? Would he be a head of state? In short, WWPD?(What Would Peter Do?) I know these questions are going to "rile" some of you. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I'm having a hard time reconciling what I read about in the Bible and what I see at the Vatican.

What are the characteristics of the "God of the Bible"? How is He different from the God of Islam, Buddhists, Hindus, Jain's, Zoroastrians, Aboriginal God(s), etc.? I thought every religion has a God that is all knowing, all powerful, creator and controller of the universe.

But here is the thing if i do then Rachel is going to be mad. See Bethany likes me and Rachel is afraid that something will happen. I love Rachel with all my heart, but feel the need to reach out...

I have prayed and feel the need to reach out anyway... do you think i am right to risk the love of my life?

Hebrews 12
1Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

I am! And I know with Christ I can endure! Do you believe this?

I was reading recently about racial reconcilliation. A geneticist said that Adam and Eve would have had to have been black because it is genetically impossible for whites to produce children of color but 2 blacks can produce lighter complections. Plus the fact that all the oldest know artifacts found all come from the area of Ethiopia. He also said that if you took groups of different races and tested there DNA you would find more similarities between different races than between people of the same race.

In Pennsylvania, judge Jones excoriated members of the school board in Dover, Pa., who he said lied to cover up their religious motives, made a decision of "breathtaking inanity" and "dragged" their community into "this legal maelstrom with its resulting utter waste of monetary and personal resources."

Why would Christians lie?

Jesus is the truth. For example, if you believe in treating other people right, if you generally want to embrace that which is good and right and you dislike that which is evil, in sincerity, you have Christ's truth regarding those things. You have accepted Jesus' truth.

And anyone who says homosexuality is a lifestyle choice, please don't bother answering this question - you will only be demonstrating your ignorance and showing that you either don't know any homosexuals or that the ones you do know will not be open and honest with you, for good reason.

There's my first question of the day and it basically asked why one God would refer to himself in the plural sense. Most people answered that it was referring to the holy trinity, the father son and holy ghost. However the quotes I used come before the birth of Jesus (son) and his death (holy ghost) in Genesis of the old testemant. The trinity didn't exist until the new testament so how could that be an answer to the question?

Is it not our own vanity that we convine ourselves we are right?
People that think they know God can only describe him as things they know (the stars, the moon, the universe) We see pictures, but the truth is that we don't even know what our universe looks like! We think we know, we speculate.

Secondly science may tell us things happen, but why do they happen? According to science things work basically because they do, there is no REASON for us to be here, there is no REASON for the existance of the universe.

It would appear that you can pretty much do anything in life, and you'll get to 'heaven' by asking forgiveness. It would seem that the greatest evil man can do, is not to accept jesus.

Other faiths place great importance on helping others and aren't so fear-based.

I would like to know why ...when we are asked a question about where people will spend eternity...does not the scriptures tell us what will and what will not enter heaven...Ephesians 5 v 1-6.... Galatians 5 v16-21 ...this tell us plainly what will not inherit the kingdom of God...if we answer the questions as they are asked...we are not being judgemental...we are speaking truth.....I ask this with a humble spirit...Thank you

Just because we happen to believe in the Christian faith, does it mean that our religion is absolutly correct? Is there no possible other way and anybody of any other religion will burn in Hell? Thats some of the most ridiculous crap Ive ever heard, and I keep reading other so-called "Christians" answers and they insist that our religion is the one and only way and everyone else is absolutly wrong. I mean, there are hundreds of religions in the world, how can there only be one "right answer" Maybe everyone forgot to read the part in the Bible where it talks about tollerance.

1) A person who helps others as a matter of course, gets involved with charity, lives what you would call a 'good muslim life' and is consciously not a muslim

2) A mulsim who attends church, prays when he should, acknowledges Allah, yet doesn't help those around him, gambles occasionally and drinks to excess once a week

3) A person who has led a life of crime and murder who on his death-bed asks Allah for forgiveness

4) A person who has no awareness of Islam, God, or any religion, but lives what you'd consider a 'good life'
