It's what they are raised to believe. Some people need a guiding light. An object around which to focus their worship. They cant simply look at the divine in the universe, they need the moral compass, the rules and the Dogma to find purpose.

The Bible is the essence of truth:
Written by more than 40 authors over a 1,600 year span. The 66 books contain numerous predictions which deal with the fall and rise of empires, rulers; destruction of cities; the birth, life, death, resurrection of the Messiah; the fate of the nation of Israel; end time events; and the return of our Lord.
Some examples:
-Job 36:27"He draws up the water vapor and then distills it into rain. The rain pours down from the clouds, and everyone benefits from it" THIS IS CALLED CONDENSATION!
-Job 37:12"The clouds turn around and around under His direction. They do whatever God commands throughout the earth" THE EARTH IS ROUND!
-Egyptians dominated the world for centuries. They appeared invincible. Ezequiel 30:13,19-"I will destroy the idols and put an end to the images in Memphis. No longer will there be a prince of Egypt, and they will know that I am The Lord"
-Ezequiel 32:11,12JUST AS THE PROPHETS PREDICTED, THE BABYLONIANS ATTACKED EGYPT AND OVERTHREW THEIR EMPIRE.
-Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon had a vision interpreted by DANIEL 2(The Lord's Prophet) Events fulfilled the prophecy:
1-Babylon fell 2-Medes/Persians 3-Greece 4-Romans 5-East/Western Europe 6-Coming of the Mesiah
"Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God and there is no other. I make known the end from the beginning , from ancient times, what is still to come" Isaiah46:9,10
THE BIBLE IS NOT AN ORDINARY BOOK, SOME BOOKS ARE INSPIRING, THE BIBLE IS INSPIRED. AND WHILE SOME BOOKS INFLUENCE YOUR THINKING, THE BIBLE CHANGES YOUR LIFE.

The bible was God inspired but written by man. My faith is not provable by any logic or science but I know that it exists. I have found much wisdom, peace and knowledge in the bible. I do not think it should be the base or the only means of salvation or belief. Faith is believing without seeing, if someone proves the bible then my faith won't be faith!

I can agree with everyone here, I'm glad you can prove to YOURSELF that God exists, but you cannot prove to anyone else...sure you can look at both ends and see some sort of agreement with both worlds (i.e. Atheism and Religion) and the Bible WAS made by Man (hate to burst people's bubbles) but it's true, God didn't go and say "Say this, and this and ect. ect...." if he did, then ok I'm proven wrong...but after all the stuff in the Bible (which happened thousands of years BEFORE the Bible was written) was passed down through oral tradition, and after so many translations of the Bible, things are bound to be messed up in there (either things were mistranslated or things where sacrificed for the god of religious politics) so you can either believe in it, or you won't, why should it matter to you?

This is what the Bible says about who wrote the Bible:
"Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy NEVER HAD ITS ORIGIN IN THE WILL OF MAN, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
If I wrote a book about God, I would just write one about a "nice grandpa in the sky" --not about a righteous and holy God, who is ready to judge people for all the wicked things they do.
I probably also wouldn't come up with the idea, to have God come to earth in the form of a man, Jesus, and take the punishment upon Himself that they deserve.

There has to be something that God put into word, or not. The Bible is pretty to read and very wise, and I doubt that even a genius could have written that without inspiration from God. I believe that the bible is from God. I've considered the Qur'an because Islam made sense to me, until I read the Qur'an and studied it. Then I realized that the Qur'an doesn't have the possibility to be from God. This is why I really believe that the Bible is from God.

That's why it's called a BELIEF.
You can't prove that god exists. You believe in him because you BELIEVE that he was the one that created all those amazing things, just like I do. But in Religion there is no proof. You either believe or you don't. Stop looking for proof because you are wasting your time and you won't find any.

While the Bible cannot be 100% proved, there can be evidence pointing in that direction. I suggest you take a look at the evidence before making pronouncements like this, especially that you investigate archeological evidence and the like.
If everyone waited until something was 100% proved in order to believe in it, we could never believe anything.

Without the Bible you know nothing of God. Creation is obviously a divine work, but to know the will of the creator you have to know His Word. When you have true faith you will see the truth in the Word.

If you can believe God exists just by looking at what he has created on earth,, why can't you believe that He spoke to the people who wrote the Bible ??
