Ryan, first and foremost, I just want to say THANK YOU. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are the first christian I've ever seen to accept this idea. I'm honestly blown away here.
I kind'a have, i guess you could call it a theory, regarding religion. See, witchcraft says that all paths are valid and that each must chose the one that's right for them.
So, putting my own twist on it, doesn't that mean that we are ALL worshipping the Divine, but just in different ways? I think that God, or Allah, or Jesus, or the Lord and Lady, or whoever it is - they know that we have the best intentions at heart. I don't think you should have to go by just one set of rules to get to heaven (or summerland or where ever). The Divine knows that we are doing our best to worship, by whatever means we have. I don't think one should condemn the other.
And as far as quoting scripture goes, doesn't the bible say, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you?"
I don't think a christian would appreciate me coming to their door and telling them that if they don't convert to witchcraft that they are doomed for eternity. Somehow, I don't see that going over well. Yet it's perfectly okay for them to do that to us. I see a bit of a double standard here.
I think everyone should follow the path that they are most comfortable with (not because it's the popular thing or because it's what their parents have force-fed them or because it's what their friends want) and just leave everyone else to believe what they want. No one's going to convert unless they WANT to convert. Forcing your beliefs on someone is not going to do anything but push them farther away from you and your religion.
Anyway, I'm rambling now. I agree with you whole-heartedly, Ryan. I don't see how just one religion could "get it right" while the others are all doomed for hell. If God is so loving and forgiving, why would he send a vast majority of the population to the pits of hell? It doesn't make sense. Again, just one more thing that doesn't make sense to me..... *sigh*...... I give up.

I believe I am tolerant to other religions,, I just don't believe in them,, it is the free will that God gave every person to use,, If you don't believe in God that is your choice,, But I will let the Light of the Lord shine through me, so people will see that there must be something else,, I just don't like the fact that the christian belief is the one that seems to always get the short in of the stick,, If a child wants to read their bible,, pray at meals,, bring their bible to school,, its oh no you can't do that,, why,?? people take the separation of church and state the wrong way,, it's only purpose is to keep the government from stating one religion over all other religions,, but people want to use it as an excuse to keep religion out of school and that's not what it was meant for,,Everyone is always ,, let me do what I want,, but when a christian wants to pray or read the bible,, its like ohh that's wrong you can't do that,, so I could ask the same question about tolerant toward Christians,,

As Christians, we are supposed to be tolerant and follow the example set by Christ. In the bible, the only time he was ever intolerant, was when he saw commerce being carried out in the temple. Remember, he overturned the money changers' table and chased them out of the temple.
According to the Bible, Jesus did say, "I am the way, the path, and the light, and no man may come to God, but through me."
Does that mean that we do? No, some of us get so set in our ways, that we feel like we must bash people to death with the word, rather than let them make up their own minds.
The bible never comes right out and teaches tolerance in any one verse, rather it teaches that we should be like God and Christ.
Lately, you should be asking that question to the radical athiests and homosexuals, who don't tolerate the way we live, but want to change society to be more like them.

Well there has to be a truth. If everyone just believes what they want to to believe than whats the point? We're no longer going by Gods path but just our own. It defeats the purpose.
Chirstians should be accepting of other religions and beliefs but there is always going to be one truth that doesnt change. There is only one right answer because Jesus came and showed us.
It isn't our place to judge whether someone will "burn in Hell" or not because that's God's job. Just worry about your own soul.
God bless

I can't answer about other religions, because I am not familiar with them. I'm not even familiar with all of the denominations within the church so I can't answer for them either. What I can say, according to God's direct word (that would be the Bible), if Jesus ain't the only way--it ain't right. The Bible does not say to tolerate--show me that verse. It says to love everyone. You can say you love everyone, but if you don't try to get them to share eternal life then how much do you really love them? When they're in hell they're gonna be thinking about that christian dude who kept the secret to himself.

If you are really a Christian and have read the Bible, then you know that God is intolerant of sin and the only way that is acceptable to Him for dealing with that sin is for people to accept the payment Jesus made with His life in dying on the cross. I have read the Bible many, many times from cover to cover -please show me where God says that we are to tolerate other religions.
If there were another way besides trusting in Jesus, He would've never had to die on the cross for our sins. Explain that one for me if other ways are also the right answer. It would mean that the Muslim's own hard attempt at satisfying God's requirements would be just as effective in providing salvation as the Christian who trusted Christ on his death bed. To follow one religion's teachings faithfully and not the other precludes the idea that both ways could be true.

Tolerance. Now there is an exciting be conscious. This artwork used to point "i think of you're incorrect, yet you're unfastened to have self belief what you like." those days, the definition has been twisted, "in case you think of i'm incorrect then you extremely are illiberal." i think by utilizing the "contemporary" definition i'm no longer tolerant of something that's against the Bible. yet by utilizing the classic definition, i'm tolerant of all of us. all of us has a precise to have a theory no remember how absurd or incorrect it extremely is. by utilizing the way... have you ever heard somebody say, "I tolerate each thing different than for intolerance"? How does somebody like that tolerate themself?...hmm

In what respect?I suffer the fools daily. But to call yourself a Christian and turn around and say other faiths are just as valid is insanity and double-mindedness.

Tollerance isn't a Creed written for Christians to follow.
The reason there is no tollerance for other religions is because if Christians are right about what their gut is telling them, then everyone else is going to hell.
Its a bit rough.

I'd love to see where in the bible it talks about this tolerance? We live in a world that is full of lies and deceit.... the only true way we know is by knowing Jesus and God by accepting and reading the Word and understanding what it says.
I know that I can tolerate a LOT of stuff, but that doesnt mean i need to accept it as correct or right or ok.
