According to my brother, who is a U.S. Marshall, no criminal investigation has ever been solved with any information that came from a psychic. This is contrary to popular belief.

Also ponder this. The Psychic Friends Network filed for bancruptcy. You would think that they should have seen that coming. And, how come when you call, they ask you for your credit card number? They are the psychics, so shouldn't they already know your credit card number ?

If any psychic out there can tell me something specific - like my social security number, that would change my opinion of this nonsense.

Jesus says this in the bible...

Luke 14:26
If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple.

A Christian just typed this in an answer to another question. "We all sin, but the only difference, is that when we sin, we are supposed to take responsibility for our actions and apologize to those we've hurt. "

So...um, what do we nonbelievers DO after we've hurt someone? I've always taken responsibility for my actions and apologized, but apparently that's what sets Christians apart from others.

So what do you do? I really missed the boat on this one!

Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, just to name a very few of the many men in the bible who can be described as "strong, dynamic, independant, decision-making".

Can you name four comparable women from the Bible? Four women whose lives and deeds are as chronicled, and as important, in the Bible as these four men?

Please list the true ones in one column, and the false ones in another column.
By "religions" I mean both religions and denominations.

And please --
No church mumbo-jumbo; this isn't an essay exam.

after something bad has happened to them or they have done something bad themselves?

By god shield, I mean, rather than try to reason out a response, they will completely ignore the subject of the question, and instead either...

1. Insult you and the fact that you are godless

2. Say "I don't care about that proof, I know Jesus is my savior" (or some other catchphrase they've heard their pastor mention)

3. Tell you they feel sorry for you

I may have left about 50 of them out, but they all amount to the same thing. You catch them in a lie, or in a paradox that disproves their religion, and they refuse to acknowledge it.

One would think that if their truth was so truthful, they would not have this difficulty. Why is it that non-believers can easily refute anything the believers say, and don't have to resort to this?

I do not like people that look at porn often and I feel as if I am turning into a bad person. I need a hobby or something to take my mind off porn, any ideas? I want to change and get rid of this addition. PLEASE HELP.

My "Christian" sister-in-law once told me that my kids were bastards. I couldn't say a word, I was shocked and very angry. She noticed my discomfort and proceeded to explain that God says any children born to unwed parents are in his eyes bastards. Now I'd rather spit on her than look at her. I love my kid's, and yes their mother and I are still together, and I don't think anyone has the right to label them for the choices their parents made. I believe that everyone should have their own opinion, but use common sense when speaking. She does and says a lot of things that way. My brother and I get along great, and even he will step in and interrupt her when she's on one of her rants. I was raised Catholic, went to Catholic elementary school, went to church twice a week with school, and on Sundays with my grand-parents, I know I'm supposed to forgive her, but I find it hard to. I would hit any guy if he said the same thing.

I am looking for people that have experienced God in a personal relationship. Is there physical evidence of his existance? I don't mean some artifact under glass in the Vatican but something physical that the common man can see and touch.

My brother is basically an Athiest, and I am pretty sure she believes in God. They both know where I stand spiritually, but asked me anyway because I am a good public speaker (have worked as a TV reporter, etc.).

I told them I will do it. Did I make the right choice?
