Just Having Done My Religious Studies Gcse Exam I Had A Question Saying Name Two Religions And There Views On Abortion? It Got Me Thinking What Do Actual Christians Or Other Religions Think About Abortion And Do They Agree With The Idea Of Them Or Not? Is There Anything In The Bible That Says It's Not Acceptable. Obviously Thinking They Weren't Around When The Bible Was Written So I Guess If There Was Something In The Bible Which Made Christians Decide Not To Agree With Them I Guess It Would Be Thou Shall Not Kill. No Idea On This. Any Info Would Be Great Thanks :) XxXxX

If we truly wanted to make a difference the best thing for us to do is kill ourselves.

"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes WE ARE HEALED." -- Isaiah 53:5 KJV (Emphasis mine)

"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes YE WERE HEALED." -- 1 Peter 2:24 KJV (Emphasis mine)

I humble myself in sincere repentance and bow down before you Jesus, my Savior, seeing my sin nailed upon you on that cross. I will never forget the high price you paid, to acquit me for all my sin with loving mercy. Thank you for dying for us at Calvary and giving us the opportunity to taste the sweet victory of your resurrection. You are my Rock, my Shield, my Provider, my Healer, my Counsellor, the Steward of my life. You are worthy of my praise Jesus! I Bless your Name forever!

everyone in religion loves abuse, actually demanding abuse...

religious believers love to have other people hate them, actually demanding hate...

I guess religious believers think that the more other people abuse and hate them, they'll get God's pity and go to Heaven;

NO ONE in religion has gone to Heaven, sorry to burst your bubble, religious believers... NO ONE !!! lol

How many of you religious types find this inspirational?

I always use it to remind myself what the Bible is really about, and to put the flowery Shakespearean English into perspective.

Do you really believe it is to worship god?
Do you really think that your god is so insecure and attention seeking that he would create an entire race with the sole purpose of worshipping him?
Do you really believe he is that narcissistic and self centred?
If not, what other reason would he have had to create us?

This is a question for the Christians.

I attended a secular college, studied history, believe that the world is billions of years old and believe in evolution and vote Democrat. I go to the bar on Friday nights, love to gamble, live with (and adore) a gay roommate, and even (gasp) have sex.

Yet I believe in God as much as the next person claiming to be a Christian. I go to church and absolutely love to read theology books. And, as is becoming increasingly apparant, I love to argue about history and religion.

Anyone else like me out there?

Please consider your motivation when trying to convince non-belivers of the truth. We win people to God by love, not by proving how wrong they are.

They don't care how much we know
Until they know how much we care.

Faith in God comes only by conviction from God.
Try praying for these people to be convicted instead of trying to convice them.
Do you want to help them, or do you want to look smart?

Picture this, an antiabortionest at planned parenthood, shaming a sobbing teenager into not having an abortion. They planning on adopting this baby themselves? How about going with her to her parents and helping to explain the whole scenario? Why shame someone out of a choice that affects thier life and then walk out on them?

Yes, I think this belongs in the R&S category, since, without religion, there would be no problem with abortion.

I know these "Christians" that look down on me for not going to church. I was raised Catholic, but now really practice no religion. I was brought up that God is everywhere. So what's the difference if I decide to pray anywhere instead of going to church. The Christians I know are real big on bragging about taking in poor kids from N.Y. for a couple of weeks in the summer, which is nice, but poor kids in our neighborhood are looked down upon because it's the parents fault. I think that if your going to give underpriveliged kids a little happiness that it should start in your own comminity.

Dear Christian meat eaters,
You are breaking one of the 10 commandments every day, every time you eat meat. By breaking the commandments does it not mean that you will burn in hell for all eternity, your soul screaming for mercy into the endless night?
How?
The commandment says "Thou shalt not kill". Right? Don't you think that when God wrote the commandments he knew that to kill a human being is "murder". Unless he flunked his grammar he would have said "Thou shalt not murder" if he was refering only to human beings. By saying "Thou shalt not kill" he was clearly refering all living beings. So by killing a living being to feast on its flesh is clearly breaking one of the 10 commandments.
Best you buy some SPF 40000!

I would love to hear you justify this one. Please go ahead.
