Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
OUR WITNESS DOESN'T CONVERT, GOD'S WILL DOES.
We should not change the message of the cross...ever. God has used it for so long... that's what is truly depressing about these "seeker friendly" churches. The gospel is so watered down, it's no longer the gospel. sheesh.
"Avoid a sugared gospel as you would shun sugar of lead. Seek the gospel which rips up and tears and cuts and wounds and hacks and even kills, for that is the gospel that makes alive again. And when you have found it, give good heed to it. Let it enter into your inmost being. As the rain soaks into the ground, so pray the Lord to let his gospel soak into your soul." Charles Haddon Spurgeon
(You should read a couple of his sermons.)

To a point, I agree.
We should shows Gods love by our actions and living a Godly life in front of others and behind closed doors as well.
But the Bible clearly states that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Faith does not come by seeing.
I've know several people whom had witnessed miracles, but still are non-believers.
I don't want to 'look smart', but I don't want people to be ignorant of the Word either.

Here, here. Christ should be our example. He always reached out to people at their point need. He addressed their need first in love. This paved the way for a relationship. He did not start by telling how wrong they really were and telling they were on the road to hell. Actually the only examples of anger were towards people who claimed to be on the side of God but were deceiving the people.

I wholeheartedly agree, however, I will add the following.
We are to love one another, like we'd love ourselves, but we are always supposed to correct the actions of people who are sinning.
There are two ways to correct actions like that: One is to scream at them and call them sinners and promise them hell. (That's the wrong way.)
The other is to lead by example, once they see how your life is a testament to God, they'll give it serious thought and might follow you.
Let me demonstrate with the following true story.
When I went to college, I was roommates with a young man who had just come back from the army, who's parents were divorced, and who's father was a "Holy Roller" To say that he was extremely turned off by religion, was an understatement. He loathed the church, his father, and the "Holier than thou" rants of his father.
Upon meeting him, I agreed to respect his space and give him time to think about his life. What I did do, was sit on the couch and read my bible every morning and every night, and I would ask him if he wanted to go to church me with me on Sundays. When he said no, I nodded and went anyway, leaving him to think. I did this every week, and still treated him like a human being.
After college, I didn't run into him for two years, and when I did, he was a lay-reader in his church and attended faithfully every worship service.
When I asked what brought him back to his church, he looked me in the eyes and said, "You did. You didn't judge, you didn't rant, and you didn't give up. I figured that if God could do that for you, he could do it for me."
That was the best testament a person can give, that you save a life without knowing it.

I disagree.
No one convinced me to turn to Jesus Christ.
I didn't have to be talked into it, or babied or coerced by fancy words.
I was hated, ridiculed, abandoned and never once did anyone reach out to me.
It was only Jesus and me.
If these lost people need us to practically beg them to do what God COMMANDS them to do, then they deserve to go to hell.
They know about Jesus, but they choose to sin daily.
It is a whole different story in other countries.
America will recieve the worst judgements from God because the gospel was given to them, but instead America is out bombing people for whom Christ died.

Amen. I think the same way. I don't even try to argue with them. I believe in God just as much as they don't. Pushy Christians can sometimes be more harmful than good.

And also scuttle the ego of self virtue as a believer to be higher than those who are either ignorant or reluctant to do so considering them as sinners and take unnecessary responsibility of pleading on their behalf.

Great question!
I too am a believer(in Christ)
God does not need us to argue for Him!
Faith without works is dead.
How are we loving our neighbor?
When we try to look smart.......we end up looking quite stupid.

God wants us to spread His gospel that is what many are trying to do no one can come to God unless He pulls them for someone to tell you how to witness your belief is like judging how they do it and is not their place only Gods
