There is a saying, "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak."
A simple test is to meditate. The rule in meditation is very simple...silence and be still.
You may be able to achieve it in 40 seconds. After that, your mind may start wandering and anxiously expecting or anticipating. The next thing you will feel is that you seem to feel that you are not sitting straight up, so you will move a little and put yourself against to what you thought is awkward.
Again you want to go back in silence, so you remember the proper breathing, tthe correct posture and the complete silence. After probably just a minute, you tend to go back to the same process earlier.
Why am I saying this to you? It is to tell you that our personality is always split into two opposing functions. We need constant practice to really discipline ourselves to what should be the right thing to do. It is very seldom for anyone to be able to control himself totally and to steer himself to the direction without struggling with the self. Practice, discipline and determination is what we need and keeping in mind the saying, "Rome was not built in seven days."

Because I feel that we do things we shouldn't for the joy of rebelling agent the person who tell us not to do it, and we fine out sometime that they were right in telling us not to do what ever.

Rom 7:15 I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. 16 And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. 17 As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. 18 I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. [fn3] For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. 19 For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do–this I keep on doing. 20 Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it.

Because we do not truly and deeply understand why we should not do those things.
It is done out of ignorance.
