It's a tough call and I can see how because of recent events one might rush to say islam, but think of it holistically through the centuries of religious madness

One of my favorite quotes is: WAR IS NOT A FAMILY VALUE!
I understand the need to defend from an enemy invasion.
But that is where I draw the line!
The so called (preventive wars are usually based on lies and they are evil!) I see many religious people are more prone to justify violence to anyone not in agreement with their belives!
Your comments please?

Don't say Christian, which means "follower of Christ". Christianity was created AFTER Jesus Christ, his FOLLOWERS created the religion. According to the church, Jesus was a Gnostic close to an Essene. This religion is that which searches for truth. He did not follow Christianity, he followed truth and God, both Him and Her as Jesus has addressed them BOTH

Jesus was Gnostic...

I have just seen this said and have seen it many times before...
but when people say they are not worthy or are not perfect or amazing beings....
isn't this like saying God done a bad job on us ?

is it boastful to say .... I am an amazing person ?
isn't it more likely that ( for those of you who believe ) God would want us to love who we are and all we are ?
how can we teach , help , share with others if we are not feeling worthy enough in ourself to do so ?

I think the great division of the Yahoo Answers Religion & Spirituality family isn't religion but scientific view of nature.

Evolution believers regardless if they are theist or atheist see great human potential within themselves and humanity at large.

The Creationist believes a book written 2000 years ago has all the answers for morality science and spiritiuality, and view the world as an evil place.

Here is an evil wicked place, the Evil Evolution Atheist Conspiracy,

Do other animals feel compassion to the level that we do? Can dogs see other starving dogs and want to feed them? Offering their meals? What other animal creates beauty for the sake of beauty? Someone suggested that we "care too much." How is that possible?

31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father."

33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I lay with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went and lay with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.

36 So both of Lot's daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab ; he is the father of the Moabites of today.

Can you trust Allah? or is he the god of this earth who Jesus says "was a liar and murderer from the beginning (John 8:44).
And the fate of ALL LIARS is described in Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and ALL LIARS, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
Again, How can one trust in a religion that officially endorses lying?

I have come across several answers where people mention something like: 'in The Holy Bible this statement Jesus said of Himself in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me'
has jesus said anything about himself in the kuran? or maybe in the avesta? of course not. then why do these dumbasses point it out as if its the truth. obviously in a christian book you won't find anything praising allah/mullah/buddha/krsna...!

In Australia, a lot of unused churches in country towns are getting converted into houses.

The really big ones would make pretty cool libraries.....or maybe museums?

Any suggestions?

I hired this lady do do cleanning for me. She said she would like to hear some music and she asked me what kind of music I liked and I told her Christian and she didn't want to hear anything about Jesus. She would rather I play NonChristian Music that didn't glorify Jesus! I was shocked! I thought that J.W. were Christians! She started to preach to me before she left. I told her I was sorry but I was Baptist and that if she was going to start to try to convert me she would not be comming back! I am saved! Why did she think that she needed to change me? But most of all why not glorify Jesus? They aren't Christian? I am still shocked!

Jesus said "Whoever hates me hates my father also"( John 15:23 )

And he also said whoever rejects the son also rejects the one who sent him. So then, if they reject Jesus, they reject the father also. So if they reject the Father, does he still answer their prayers?

People who don't believe in God don't want you telling them that there is a God, but they have no problem telling others that there is no God.

Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple.

Matthew 10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
--Jesus prophesies that families will be torn apart because of Him.

Matthew 10:34-36 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
--Jesus says that he has come to destroy families by making family members hate each other. He has "come not to send peace, but a sword."
