31 One day the older daughter said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is no man around here to lie with us, as is the custom all over the earth. 32 Let's get our father to drink wine and then lie with him and preserve our family line through our father."
33 That night they got their father to drink wine, and the older daughter went in and lay with him. He was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
34 The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I lay with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father." 35 So they got their father to drink wine that night also, and the younger daughter went and lay with him. Again he was not aware of it when she lay down or when she got up.
36 So both of Lot's daughters became pregnant by their father. 37 The older daughter had a son, and she named him Moab ; he is the father of the Moabites of today.

I must have missed that part of the New Testament in which Jesus says "Believers! Do as Lot's daughter's did in order to be born again!"
Idiot.

This is in the Bible, but it doesn't make it righteous. The problem with this text is that it doesn't state outright that this was wrong, which it clearly was.
EDIT: I am not a man, but I have reservations about Lot's abilities. If a man was so drunk as to not be able to discern that it was his own daughter trying to have sex with him, then how could he even physically have sex anyway? Additionally, one would think that it would probably have taken more than one try to conceive. It took my husband and I about 9 months to conceive our first daughter. I just think that this probably happened several times. Could Lot have been an alcoholic? It just seems so unlikely that conception could have happened for both daughers the first time. I think he may have known. How could he not?

Pastor Mike:
It is obvious you are on a tear to try and shock.
Too bad you are not thorough in your research.
Basically, all you're saying is:
Should Lot's daughters have slept with their father?
The answer is no.
The idea originated with the daughters.
It was not a command from on high.
There was a situation, the daughters came up with THEIR best answer.
It was a bad solution.
It seems you would, indeed, care to throw the first stone.

Psalm 108
verse 9;
Moab is my wash-pot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
Yea, it is extremely WRONG!

Later, I'm pretty sure the father learnt what they had done and cursed them. It is a sin, and is not allowed.
Hope that helps, friend.

It is a sin to sleep with your father and it's sick. You should be ashamed.
