I do not think that I would choose to have a 5 year old suffer, but it happens even if I don't want it to, even if my passion tells me that I hurt from hearing about it or imagining it! But does that change that it happenned or will happen with or without my help? I am glad that some people were born into this life to not hurt others in any physical form or at least appear not to.
Deserve;to merit, be qualified for, or have a claim to (reward, assistance, punishment, etc.) because of actions, qualities, or situation
Am I not qualified and meritted the horrendous things I experience as a human because I am alive?

God is an ok guy. I know this because God lives in me too. I think we all go to some place that we came from before we lived, back to the source as it were, the earthen, spacial mass of creation, we being part of creation and creator. I even see Jesus as one who saw himself as something to be improved upon...John 14 12! We are all doing our best for sure. What Greater Works are we helping with today? I feel deserving when I do that...if you mean something better in afterlife.....but do I really? Deserve better, I mean? Aren't we all trying to do what we can and aren't we limited by what God gave us to give each other the illusion that we are better than another or more deserving because of our status?

What about what we do try to change that does not change? If we deserve what we get, we deserve that do don't we? All comes from Creation, right?

No, if I got what I deserved I would be on my way to the Lake of Fire. But I thank God that He loved me so much that He sent his one and only son Christ Jesus to pay my sin debt for me so that I could be with Him for all eternity.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.

No. You usually get what you go out and take or earn or inherit, but never what you deserve.

"What we accept, we deserve, what we do not try to change, we deserve." ( unknow author )
Yes, we get what we deserve. But as Clint Eastwood told Gene Hackman in "Unforgiven", just before he killed him,
"deserves, got nothin' to do with it." So sometimes what we deserve maybe decided by someone else.

What a crazy question. What context are you asking such a question in? Do you feel that you are not getting what you feel you deserve at the moment? Could you please provide a bit more outline to the question?

If I evaluate myself, I know that I don't deserve this pain. Not able to talk to the one I love or my son is excruciating.
I know I deserve better.

Sure, if you think 5-year-old children deserve to be shot to death by a home intruder. Or that couple that was kidnapped and brutally tortured, raped, and murdered...I'm sure they deserved all that.

Depends... If you've set your expectations too high, no...
Abe Lincoln is quoted; "...one is about as happy as one makes up his mind to be". Someone else is credited with, "...as ye sow, so shall ye reap".
It's pretty much up to you, methinks!
