In fact, many seem offended by the concept. Even if you are sceptical about whether global warming is happening and caused by us... how can anyone argue with the concept of being evironmentally concious, and trying to reduce potential impact. Even if we have no impact on the environment.... why is it bad to TRY to be sure. When God said for man to take Dominion over the earth, wasn't he charging us to protect it? If man is supposed to treat his body like a temple, shouldn't the same be said of the planet given by God for mankind and all of life to exist on?

Some Christians tell me this is the trinity. If so were else in the Old Testament is this evident? I don't think Jews believe in the trinity, if not who is god refering to? And if Christians say this is the trinity he references to (Father, Son, Holy Ghost). Is Jesus already up there in with god and just waited thousands of years to stop in? How would the trinity be relevant in the Old Testament?

Do you really feel this is how Jesus thinks about his very own Mother? Especially when it says "He will not let his Holy one see decay" Mary is every bit the New Ark of the Covenant. A Holy person because God made her Holy. I feel sorry for those who feel they are so much better than Jesus' own Mother. Wow, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.

I know Freud was on cocaine most of the time and yet many people still subscribe to the "penis envy" theory.
Im sure there were a lot of things back then that people could have ingested that infuenced their thinking or altered their perception.

I am speaking about the dumping of the elderly in nursing homes and hardly ever visiting them. I visit the nursing homes weekly and visit and see this over and over. Especially Mothers who never get visits from their children. I believe this is how Mary must feel. It is not praying to her for salvation to just tell her hello and that you love her.

The Book was written to warn Christian communities in Asia Minor (Turkey) 1,900 years ago that the Roman Empire was getting out of control.

The Christians eventually BECAME the Roman Empire when they murdered their way to the top of the heap in the fourth century.

Are they really warning us about themselves?

for our Mother too? Do you think the other Apostles made fun of John and told him he was a fool for caring for her because she was nothing to Jesus but a regular woman? Why do you people do this to us? I can only think it is jealousy. The only other thing is when God told Satan that he would put emnity between him and the woman. Is this the emnity we are seeing?

I see them using the term "Anti-Christ" when referring to the Book of Revelation, but the term is never used in that book. It is in the Epistles, and it is an insulting reference to the Gnostics, a major competitor of the Church.

The book of Revelation was addressed to seven communities in the Roman Province of Asia Minor, which is now modern Turkey.

Read some history, and you'll find out that Turkey is founded on the remains of the Ottoman Empire and has been Muslim for a very long time.

I don't think we need to warn the Christians in Turkey about some coming Apocalyptic scenario.

They died or moved a long, long time ago.

So I wanted to celebrate finally reaching Level 7. I posted about it here because this is where I spent the most time and earned the most points. So I got reported, and ten points taken off, and right back to Level 6!

Whoever reported me, you are an absolute piece of jackass meat.

And everyone else, I still thank you. Guess I have to keep trying.

I'm glad my religion and spirituality don't call for me to wreck other peoples' fun.

This passage quite clearly calls this church out on trying to save themselves by their works. And tells very clearly that faith and not the law is what makes us children of God.

Other verses also clearly state that salvation is through faith: "by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is a gift of God not of works lest any man should boast."

1 John 5:13: 13These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Romans 10:9-10: 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confess
