The books of the apostles would all contain descriptions of Her divine breasts and rear end.

Oh other answerers, come on, get real. Women were then second class citizens, and the Hebraic tradition was (and still is) male centered. There is no way a woman could have done any of the defiant things Christ did without getting stoned to death.
It amazes me how people have so much trouble imaginning how things were in other times.
Not just two thousand years ago. Most young people can't even visualize a world without cars and tv.

Jesus clearly came to earth as a man for a reason.
Women in that time period had no power and even felt sorry for because of their gender. Men would thank God that they were born male, the 'superior' sex. Many women were abused and not respected at all.
I believe that if Jesus had been a woman, Christianity wouldn't have lasted near this long. Most likely, nobody would have believed Him (her??) in the first place, certainly not almost 2,000 years later. A female prophet would have been unheard of and unbelievable in Biblical times.
But then, with God, anything's possible. :-)
God bless you!

It's doubtful that many people would want a female messiah. There's too much sexism in the world for people to accept the idea of a divine feminine. It would be interesting to see how Christianity would be if the savior were female, though.

If Jesus had been a she, she probably wouldn't have lived very long. I'm sure they would've killed her very early on for blasphemy.

No, I don't think so. As a Christian, I believe Jesus is the Son of God. Moreover, it is written in the Bible - God's book. Prob you could ask God.
