wondering from all the people that have lived such sheltered lives.
Would you steal to feed yourself if you were a kid and your parents were abusive and didnt feed you and you were so afraid to tell anyone because you felt as if you did your parents would beat the hell out of you?

I became a Christian 2 years ago. Now I have turned my back on God and I feel so much better, so relieved! Has anyone else been a Christian and then turned their backs on God?

her with the seed of the Holy Spirit?
In other words, did "free from sin" mean
she hadn't had sex at all, or that He chose her because she was free from all other sin, including that she had not had sex before marriage?

Unbelief is a sin as the Bible shows:
"I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." (John 8:24).

"But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you." (John 10:26)

"Of sin, because they believe not on me;" (John 16:9).

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18).

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36).

"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:16).

"That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:12).

The Bible also tells us that hell or the lake of fire will be heavily populated..!!

Well according to christians, we can get to heaven by accepting jesus and that's it. But jesus made it clear that we must help others, he said that on judgement day, he will say to those who did not help others..."Depart from me, ye who are cursed for i was hungry and you did not feed me" (Matthew 25:35). So basically he said he will say to those who did not help the least of people that they are not welcomed and are cursed into the devil, which means we MUST help others to go to heaven. Now, if good deeds don't get you to heaven, if they don't affect your judgement at all, than Jesus was a liar. There's no ignoring it christians, it's from the "word of god".

This is directed to those who say "Good deeds dont affect your judgement".

At least in Greek mythology, when a god and a person had a child, they gave birth to a demigod, not a god itself.......which is correct from a genetics standpoint.

In a previous question, I asked why it would be wrong, to equate Jesus's face with the face of God, and only one person came out and said the concept was bunk because the three in the Trinity are seperate pieces but they all work as one.

So my question goes out to her, and all those who see the parts of Trinity as being seperate pieces who work as one.

When you equate Jesus's status as being the same as God, by saying that he works with God on the same level as God, youre ascribing partners to the Creator.

Thus, it creates the idea that God and Jesus are the same being. Or at most, they share the power of Godliness.

Do you now realize why the Trinity is against monotheism?

"Everything in the Old Testament is perverted and distorted into meanings never intended by the writers. The practice which the writers of the books employ is not more false than it is absurd. They state some trifling case of the person they call Jesus Christ, and then cut out a sentence from some passage of the OT and call it a prophecy of that case. But when the words thus cut out are restored to the places they are taken from, and read with the words before and after them, they give the lie to the New Testament."--Thomas Paine

I think it would be a great idea, only I would want a slight reformation such as letting commoners enter in one part of a temple to pray and give offerings.

Just think of it! People would be close to the gods again as they once were before the Romans *cough*.

I never understood this because I am Christian Catholic, and I never know what the difference is. I know all Catholics are Christians, but not all Christians are Catholics, and Christians believe in Jesus, and Catholics go to R.C. Church and believe in all that. Can someone tell me what Christians do and what Catholics do, and what the difference is, thx.

Serving others is always a good thing and I believe we will receive blessings for it an all, but does it still count if we're having fun? Is it no longer service because we're not put out by it?

Atheists and/or Christians always act like the other is FORCING their beliefs upon the other one. .

First:
What in the world?!? How can you sit there and say one is forcing their beliefs upon you when you KNOW that you are doing the EXACT SAME FREAKING THING!

Second:
How can you be so SHALLOW as to sterotype a whole group that contains thousands of people to say that "oh, well, Atheists hate me" NEWS FLASH: NOT EVERYONE IS THE SAME.

Third:
YOU ARE IN THE FREAKIN R&S SECTION! GET PREPARED TO BE OFFENDED!

Fourth:
Don't you know how to ask a freakin question POLITELY? What does INSULTING one another PROVE? . .Oh, I know what it proves. .that you are rude, inconsiderate, and SHALLOW!

Fith:
Can't we atleast show each other the respect we deserve as humans?

So, you decide. .Aren't we BOTH victims?

In this section you may receive the most offensive answers. Answers from people who are said to live in the most developed nation.

And I see Atheist tend to be more offensive. It is just crazy, how people can become such a thing.

And yet we blame God for how the world is going? Look at yourself first. Most people, not all, here are uneducated offensive individuals whose concepts of respect do not live on them.
