This is a great question and I'm so happy to hear it.
Frankly, if you love to serve, then that tells me you have stepped into the arena that God created you for. You will receive His blessings in all things. And if you truly love serving, then that means you are content even if no one tells you thanks or recognizes what you do. Blessings to you.

From the definition of the word, a service is simply an act, a duty, or work for someone else. It doesn't attempt to define how you feel while you're doing it. As long as you are doing something for someone else, it is still considered a service, regardless of how you feel.
Enjoying it is just a bonus. :D

Well it depends on what is meant by "service". A bull services a cow - I'm pretty sure the bull's happy!!! I've always heard " try to find a job that you enjoy", so enjoying your job/service seems to be the right thing to do.

It is not whether or not you enjoy the service, it is your motives for performing such service that matters. If your motive is merely to make yourself look good in the eyes of others, then the service 'doesn't count', so to speak. But, if your motive is truly to help others, then it counts. With pure motives in your heart, have fun!!

If you are 'enjoying' your service, that is God giving you 'grace' because you are doing it. SERVE ON with a smile on your face, and you'll be 'just fine' and get 'better and better.' I'll see you in Heaven some day!

Yes, indeed!
God wants us to enjoy the life He has given us, and out of the desire which we have to serve Him, He wants us to enjoy serving Him. In Galatians 5 verse 13 it says that we have been called to 'freedom'. Use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Yes. Service is in the motivation (to help others), not the method.

of course it's still service. just because you're having fun serving the lord doesn't mean you are serving him anyless.

Absolutely, but if we have the heart of a servant, then we will find joy even when serving in less desirable tasks.
Good question...
"He,who would be greatest among you,let him be the servant of all"
