It seems to me that what we describe as our souls are really just our thoughts and feelings. If that's the case, how can our souls continue to exist after we die, and our brains stop functioning?

Scientists have worked out every second of evolution up to 0.-1 seconds. The - stands for 43 0s.How can someone who has no religion say that there is no way that God created the big bang, the event that led to the creation of the Earth and the solar system. Scientists still after 1000s of years do not know and it says in the bible that humans can't comprehend God so doesn't that mean that it is possible that the cause was God? It fits in with causation.

I have been learning about this in physics, from someone with a physics degree and does not believe in creation and I do not take everything in the bible literally. And also why do atheists have to prove that God exists, if religion raises money for charty (christian aid, islamic reliefe etc.), brings peole comfort and brings together communities. Then what is wrong with it as it has nothing o do with you. I am interested to hear other peoples views but please do not criticise any religions and I will not judge or criticise you.

Everytime you prove them wrong about something in that dusty book they always have a really really bad answer to it. Really embarrassing and cringeworthy, not to mention unintellectual, unthought out and unrreasonable. Like a child trying to deny something but as an adult it is so obvious to see.

"Ok Christian you have cookie crumbs all down the front of yout t shirt, when I left the house no one else was here but you.Did you eat the cookies?" "No, god did it".. sigh...

No hypothetical answers. No presumptions or assumptions. Rather, what exact verse shows the transference taking place in writting?

I was talking to a really stupid evo (for those of you who don't know, evos believe in evolution and science and hate G-d) and I said to him: "Why have faith in science? It's always changing. The unerrant Word of G-D is where you should place your faith"

Well, the jerk said "The difference between science and religion is that science has ways to find out if it's wrong. That's why it changes from time to time - scientists find out that they'd been wrong all along. That only improves science and makes it more trustworthy, not less". You know, the usual evo yatter yatter. But then he said:

"In religion, you have no way of finding out if you're wrong. If you can never find out if you're wrong, how can you know that you're right?"

I must admit, I didn't know what to say to that. What should I have told the jerk?

There are enough glorified apes on this planet... destroying life for the other creatures, introducing excess electromagnetic and chemical pollution, disrupting and complicating the economic fuselage to the point of thievery being considered a righteous methodology, stirring conflict and perpetuating discord... why bring more humans into the equation? I support childbirth, but only if it is one child per parent or less... any more would be waste and selfish excess... there is no good argument against this idea... unless you can prove me wrong?

Can't they just get a life and leave the spiritual people alone?

Why don't Christians live like Jewish people, since they are also bound by Old Testament laws. Jesus was very clear that his death would not make these laws obselete.

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)

“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law" (John7:19)

Religious people keep telling me that Jesus is returning. I have been hearing this for years and years. First it was in the millenium and then at other religious times of the year. Surely the longer this goes on the more people will abandon God/religion etc as rubbish? If you are a religious person please tell me in plain English what the delay is? We are all told to pray and our prayer will be answered. Well I must admit I prayed hard for my nan last year after she had a stroke. All my family did, we even went to church but she just suffered for months the died. The longer this goes on the more I doubt it's truth.

There are lots of indian female muslim bollywood stars and it happens only in india. Indian muslims are not only modern but very tolerant of other faiths as well.

Could it be because indian muslims are the only people who had a chance to experience democracy?

(india has always been a democracy and tolerant towards other faiths. I know that there have been clashes between hindus, sikh's and muslims, but they are all political problems)
