Why don't Christians live like Jewish people, since they are also bound by Old Testament laws. Jesus was very clear that his death would not make these laws obselete.
"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)
"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill. Amen, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest part or the smallest part of a letter will pass from the law, until all things have taken place." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)
“Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law" (John7:19)

I'd like to give you a revised edition of Booth's post. Jesus fulfilled the ceremonial law. We kept some of the civil law as we see it in our society today. And none of the moral law went away, we are just as bound to it as in the Old Testament. You said that Jesus can be read to endorse the entirety of the Old Testament law, and I believe you are correct. It is not out of context. Christians should have no problem being transported back to the Old Testament days where they loved the law given to them. Only now we have a propitiation for the ceremonies that would otherwise still be performed today. I think we need to be conscious of that. God did NOT make a mistake with the first one! It was GOOD! But the current covenant is BETTER as we find in the book of Hebrews.

The sacrificial law was done away with when Christ died. He was the final and perfect sacrifice, so we don't need to do that anymore. To say that we do is to say Christ's death wasn't enough, which would mean our faith is wrong. The laws on cleanliness were done away with when Jesus told Paul "nothing I have made is unclean" when He presented him with food that was called unclean. However, the moral law, which guides our behavior, toward one another and toward God, will always stand. That is what we will be judged by.
When deciding what laws are relevant to society today, you must look at both the law, and its purpose. Why was it given? If the purpose is fulfilled another way, then following the lettered law is unnecessary.

Jesus is the fulfillment of the Law. The law and the prophets are complete in holding faith in Him. As for the requirements that the Apostles told the early missionaries to instruct the Gentiles in here they are.. Jim
Acts 15:29
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

Well there are certain laws that kinda changed.Like Jesus didnt want people to be stoned to death. Also He said Love thy neighbor as thy self, instead of an eye for an eye.But my church has used the old testmant for things such as laws, like in Deutoronmy mentions not to do witchcraft or sorcery etc.

The LAW.... Can be kept by.... NO..ONE!
(James 2:10) For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
The JEWS.... do not KEEP the LAW.... only those convenient for their Outward Profession that they are Jews!
CHRIST JESUS... came as a Savior for All..... MANKIND!
There is No One.... that Keeps the Law!
PROVE IT? Do you Obey...... 2Chronicles 12:14 ......each time before you Study the Word, Pray... or go to Church?
NOT!
Thanks, RR

The tanakh was followed up until the 16th century; gays, bankers, prostitutes, etc. were killed. The first banking institution was condemned as a heretical one.
Today christianity isn't as strong as it used to be a lot of it is just show.
But, many are trying to follow old testament laws.

Good question. But remember, Christian is no the one who say he or she is Christian, but who follows the rules the way it has to be done.
A short percent really follows the rules, Adventist are some of the few. For example, God tell us no to eat pork. Many Christian however eat it. And so on.
Some believe and the easy stuffs. Why do many Christians work on Saturday? They are not supposed to. According to the Bible.

christians can't prove their own beliefs, so how can they follow any other belief system??? Who's stupid enough to believe in the "bible" in the first place???
Here's some more FACTS about christians:
hell was created by christians - so shall they go there, to burn in their own hell!
christians have KILLED more people in the history of humanity than any other group.
christians have persecuted millions of "non-believers" just because they DIDN'T believe in "christianity!
christians are by far the most brain-washed - brain-dead believers in the world today!
The Truth eliminates everything that christianity believes in from Spirituality.
so, WHY would anyone, with ANY intelligence, want to be a christian or in ANY religion???
Here's the Solution for christians and religion:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!
remember:
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ, Buddha and any one else with Spiritual intelligence.
atheists = all the people in religion = all the ignorant fundamentalists = all the cults/superstitions = paganism = wicca
