I see so much INTOLEARNCE that I figured it would be a good idea to discover what "TOLEARNCE" means to some of you here?

I hope you will be specific in your reasons. I would also love to know how your personal religion plays into your personal "TOLERANCES".

Do you believe your God/Allah/Buddha/Goddess/ Divinity would be proud of your "Tolerant" actions or lack of tolerant actions? Or does religion need even play a part in basic courtesies? I know some Atheist that are pretty subjective and tolerant.

When I refer to being tolerant... I mean not only of another’s religions and beliefs, but of their lifestyles and society choices, weather the norm or not...

And if you are INTOLEARNT about something... such as the hate I have seen about Gay marriages, or the belittling of other religions... then answer what gives you the RIGHT... to sit in judgment and pass on your condemnation of those things? Please share in a specific manner the whys of it.

I'm refering to a recent cloning experiment, in Korea. This lie, had a great effect on the stem cell issue. Is it pragmatic, or hypocritical for scientists not to acknowledge the FACT that many fundamentalists have GOOD reason to doubt the motives of many scientists, as well as their methods. Isn't the trust that young scientists put in their teachers, as blind as a fundies faith?

If you haven't heard of this, why?

You telling me why did G* created everyman equal, than why do every* man born w/ disablities while others arn't?

Why do you people always lie?

Why do you people always hate other religious fanatics when they arn't on your boat?

Wouldn't the Noah's Ark ship sink with so many weight on it?

Why didn't the bible tell us about the gravitational forces between objects, and the speed of light?

WHy do you religious fanatics hate science so much, then dont use science then, dont use car, dont use electricity, dont use water, dont use nothing?

Why didn't the bible tell us to count numbers, equations?

Why are there so many fictional fairy tails that always tell happy ending?

Why do you people always act in secure manner, while making a pointless arguement?

Why cant you anwser these questions with back up as your proof?

Yes, whether you are a churchgoer or not, whether you have personal religious beliefs or not, YOU'RE TITHING!!

Actually, it is more like doubletithing, tripletithing, quadruple tithing and even quintuple tithing in many cases. You're doing that everytime you purchase something, every time you take your car for inspection or to renew the tags, everytime you renew your drivers license, everytime your employer pays you, or you pay the state and the federal government their share of your earnings, or the county and the school districts get their share of your hard earned money for the right of owning personal property.

However, most people don't call it tithing. They call it TAXES!!!

Most important of all, did you know that by religious organizations being tax exempted, you have to pay THEIR SHARE of the taxes?

So next time you're asked by your pastor, bishop, priest, or any other religious leader whether or not have you tithed, what are you going to say?

Is it just me or does R&S seem a little boring and empty until all the atheists get on and start asking the good questions? Personally I think the religious people should thank the atheists for being so entertaining and making R&S a fun place to answer questions ^_^

Are these just foundless beliefs, accepted on "faith", if you will, or have studies been conducted that prove their assertion?

We live in a FREE AND EQUAL country...i dont see why someone who falls in love with the same sex doesnt have the RIGHT to marry...

Many of you say: Well they wont be able to reproduce.

Why are you getting involved in someone elses sex life?
They dont want kids, then they dont want kids...who are you to judge them?
Many gay people just adopt...
Once again your religion is controlling other people, putting them down for who they are. Why do you want people to change? It sickens me. This country may be dominately Christian but why are you controlling someone who isnt your religion?

They are born that way and CANNOT change.
You claim it is a choice. Yet why would you choice to be ...humilated, beaten.......even killed...just because you love the same sex.

Just accept us for who we are.

and you ask creation have prove? well yes, you see you exist right, the things around you exist right, the sun, the moon, the sky, everything exist. So where is your prove? well if you have no prove then why do you kept on screaming in front of other people's face about it? isn't it because you hate to admit you are wrong.

Why does Jesus say afterwards in verses 21 - 23 ?
"Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord Lord have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23. And yet then I will profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

So Jesus will say to some who say they're following Jesus that he never knew them and tell them to depart from him.

I'm asking because many answered my last question about how do we know if we're on the right way (where only few find it) and some said if we just believe in Jesus, but that cant be all thats needed can it?

Please will you tell me why you think that you're so sure that you're on the right way.
Thanks

Have Trinitarians ever considered that when Jesus said I and the Father are one, he meant: Im only doing what He asked me to do and am not acting out of my own will.

Instead of: I and the father SHARE an essence?

because if he meant the latter, that would mean God was Jesus too.

28% of Americans can understand basic Scientific Literacy (http://reference.aol.com/science/scientific-literacy)

And over 86% claim to identify themselves with a specific religion(http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_prac2.htm)

And 20% of Americans 18-25 hold no religious beliefs(http://www.humaniststudies.org/enews/?id=281&article=0)

Doesn't this show a direct correlation with the fact that maybe people oppose science and scientific facts like evolution because they really don't know that much about science to begin with? And also being that they "get" most of thier unexplained answers from religious guide books, doesn't it only stand to reason that maybe most religious people are simply content in thier ignorance? Any opinions? I mean 28% is very poor.

how do you foresee this belief impacting America and the planet in the future?

How will it impact them as a Superpower? What will it mean regarding environmentalism and how will this impact the planet?

Finally, how could this "anti-science" trend be turned around? What has worked in similar cultures in this situation?

I am a retired college history teacher, Ph.D. from Auburn, who is a saved Christian currrently doing volunteer work for the Lord, preaching for a prison, nursing home, and small nondenominational church. Unfortunately small church is costing me money. Therefore, I need some income to continue this; not a lot.

I attend a United Methodist church, and do some volunteer work in it. I wanted to talk to the pastor at the UM church I attend, but didn't know what to ask him.

I am currently ordained by Universal Ministries. I have a lot of public speaking experience, and am studying the Bible, and want to continue this. A person cannot really advertise to preach. The openings from internet job sites are for full-time positions.

My beliefs are basicallly Methodist, Baptist. I wondered if anyone knew a way to get some credentials from an association, so I could spread the Good News, and have enough funds to continue with the nondenominational church

Hinduism is not that famous, even though it is the worlds oldest organised religion and the given rise to many religions like Buddhism , Sikhism, Jainism.
Buddha who was a Hindu has taught what Hinduism taught in a different way.
I think Hindus dont want to convert people, and they lihe to have low profile.
They have invented Yoga, Meditation , chanting og hymns and many spiritual things but has not got the recognition it should have.
