I am a Catholic, and I do believe in heaven, because all of Jesus' sayings are the truth. They are better than gold.

yeah sure. when I die I am 100% positive I am going to live on a cloud in the sky and play a harp.

Are you like 5 years old?

There is no heaven. It's a fairy tale. It would be nice if there was but come on??

It's a scam by the church so you give them money and listen to what they say then you will go to some fake man made up "heaven" and if you don't then you will go to a fake man made up "hell"

No offense but it is such a stupid idea I cannot even believe that otherwise rational adults believe it. I truly truly cannot believe people still buy that.

If this were the 1400's or something but come on. Seriously it's a dumb story.

Belief in heaven is based in faith. You don't have to be religious, or go to church to believe in God or Jesus, or the Holy Spirit or even Heaven.

Heaven is not taught about just to Catholics/Christians - every religion has its' own version of what it is.

I, for one, believe there is a Heaven. And for the record: user "fmminformation" will be very surprised when his time comes to leave this earth.

Yeah, sex! (j/k)

Siiiiike, I'm just kidding! I wouldn't know anything about that :P But I really hope there's a heaven. Maybe when people refer to heaven after death, they mean that the actual fact that you're dead is heaven. I know, it sounds dumb, and I never thought about it this way until you just asked this question. Think about it though, you're dead, so you have no worries. You don't have to get up and go to work, deal with other people's BS, deal with your cruddy parents, stress over school, worry about someone making fun of you, or any of the other major problems that people go through. You just rest... in peace. And that is heaven :)

There is a heaven but I don't think any of us are going to see it.
The Bible says God is going to create a new heaven and a new earth.
I think that the people that everyone believes are going to go to heaven are actually going to be placed on the new earth. Not heaven.
Heaven is for God and his angels.
Before you judge me, think about it. Why would God create a new earth if he wasn't going to have any plans for it?

I believe in Heaven as a state of consciousness. A person can acquire heaven right here on earth.

Yes, without a doubt!!! I am a born again christian, i read Gods word and believe in it and when Jesus says in the gospel of John 14:1-6..." I go to prepare a place for you.", that is the heaven that you are asking about.
In order to be able for God to even receive you, you need to be reconciled to God and have your sins forgiven. That is to believe in Jesus Christ and that He died for you on the cross, to know that you are a sinner and need to be saved from your sins and to ask Jesus Christ to be your personal Saviour. That is what ... born again.. means.
Right now God is speaking to your heart. In Revalation 3:20 , Jesus says:" behold, I stand at the door and knock, if ANYONE hears my voice and opens the door I WILL come in to him and dine with him and he with Me."

Don't believe in heaven or hell, I think the afterlife is determined by how you live this life. Besides I can't think of a place uglier than one filled with mansions and streets paved in gold. I'd prefer a place where neither is needed.

Yes I do. It's really important for humans to connect to a higher power and it makes sense to view a higher power as a creator. Look at all we have on Earth. Do you believe there is a plan that is unfolding according to a creator (God) or do you believe this is all some grand accident of evolution?
