We live in a society that demands that we have some kind of income in order to survive. Perhaps the better question is, if money is not important, why go after more and more than you need.

Its not important. If a non-believer thinks there are things that are more important than money they are understanding some values, but obviously not completely. A true converted person understands that money is a thing that is of a mortal world, that will perish and cannot last eternity, nor can it be tooken into the kingdoms of Hell or Heaven. If a person who does believe in God or Jesus say that money is not important but still wants it, then they are a liar and their heart is full of greed.
The only thing I want money for is to give to the church, poor, and help others with it. Others still need to conquer the greed lurking in their hearts. Money isn't nessecarily bad, it can be used to do good or bad things. It matters what you're doing with your money. Are you donating? Are you tithing? Are you helping others with it?
If not- then you will perish with your money. Its the truth. One can't say they accept Christ but still be full of greed. For no man serves two kingdoms. Its not easy to detach from sinful things, but it must be done. "Narrow is the path which leads to life, and wide is the gate which leads to destruction." If your heart is still longing for money, you must break loose from this sin, from greed.

Money IS important; just don't make it All important. It should not be the main goal of anyone's life - not if they want to be happy. The Bible says that "the love of money is the root of all evil". That probably is not true really, but it IS pretty bad. The Bible does not say that love of money is what drove Satan, or Adam and Eve, to fall into sin. I don't believe there was any around back then. But, I know, those are just stories, myths.

Not only is money not important, it is a boring, tedious subject. What we want is freedom - the ability to do whatever we want, whenever we want - and we have been raised to believe that that is such a precious thing that we have to work hard and struggle for that priviledge. Unfortunately, that is incorrect.

Humans are the only ones who put any stock in the concept of lack. For the creative power in the Universe, there is nothing but abundance - you can have whatever you want, you simply must ask. What we dwell upon in our heart and in our mind is what we get in this world - that is how you ask. If you dwell upon the idea that money is hard to come by and you must have it to live, then that is what your earthly experience will be. If you believe that there is plenty for everyone and that you are put on this earth to prosper and flourish, then that is what your earthly experience will be.

Don't focus on the money - focus on what you want in life. Imagine your day to day life with the success and prosperity you wish. Dwell upon that in your heart and mind. Write about it. Draw it. Make your message clear and you will be rewarded.

It is very, very important. And I do believe that having a lot of it does make you happy. People will disagree but they have never been poor like me. It would make me happy b/c I have a lot of friends and family that I would love to help out. I would also like to start up my own drug rehab and do things my way. I worked in one and people were just not treating the job as seriously as it should have been. I think I would make a great manager of one. I also would like to go to my favorite country, Costa Rica, and set up some women and children shelters and possibly another drug rehab there which they are in dire need of. I would spend my time doing charity. That would make me happy.

Material objects have no inherent worth in them, so money is worthless.

Nothing can be properly called mine. Your body will die, your possessions can be stolen or lost, and your love can be seperated. The only thing you own, is you, which is not a material possession at all. So no thing can be yours except for your soul.

It's a dark, dark world out there. Not to pressure you into believing what I believe, because essentially I am not revealing to you my secret. However, just to warn you, to put some suspence into you, this world is godless and soulless and wrong. However, if you can see reality clearly. You can enjoy it every step of the way. Interesting, don't you think?

Of course money is important.

Prosperity is a sign of luck, or *hamingja.* Hamingja/luck is a sign of the worth of one's ancestors, and one's own power to effect change and protect one's kinclan.

Even the sad little xtians, for all their talk of treasures in heaven, still have their noses pressed up against the shop windows of their REAL religion.

Some things just are what they are.

In this world, one needs money to survive. Try buying groceries by reciting a proverb.......doesn't work. When they tell you money is not important the meaning is...... don't worship it and make it your God.....it could cloud your judgment and blacken your soul.

I think of money as just a tool. It is used to spend and that is all it is. I don't think we all want it but do think we all need some, like to pay the rent.

I have been without, I call those years 'my years of hell'.

It is much better to pay your electric bill instead of running to the window everytime the dogs bark to see if someone is there to cut something off.

It is only not important when you have it. Try living without it!
