Unbelief is a sin as the Bible shows:
"I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." (John 8:24).
"But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you." (John 10:26)
"Of sin, because they believe not on me;" (John 16:9).
"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:18).
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36).
"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:16).
"That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." (2 Thessalonians 2:12).
The Bible also tells us that hell or the lake of fire will be heavily populated..!!

Folks-I already showed you that "unbelief" is a sin! Don't give me the line of "you have to accept Jesus." There are and have been people who have never heard or seen a verse from the Bible. The Bible states, "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." These people could not have been saved because they never heard the word of God. It was not god's will to save them because He is Sovereign.
Most of the Pharisees (who hated Christ)and Sadducees heard Jesus speak, but they were never saved. Check out Simon in Acts 8 who heard, believed, and was baptized. The Lord tells us there, however, Simon was not saved.
The fact is this "free will" gospel is a false gospel. God has chosen whom He will save from before the foundation of the world (Ephesians 1:3-5). The Lord chooses...not us.

In John 3 we read, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."
Christ likens natural birth to spiritual birth ....you made no decision when you were going to be born, nor what physical characteristics you would have. God made all these decisions! So it is in spiritual birth (being born-again)....you have no say whether you are born-again or not. God makes the decision as to whether you receive life or not (Ezekiel 36:25-28).
Any time we obey the Bible, we are doing "spiritual work." But remember that no work we do can save us or contribute to our salvation (Ephesians 2:8,9; Titus 3:5; Galatians 2:16). Therefore, if we think our believing, our repenting, our praying, our obedience to God is the reason for "salvation", we are like the man of Numbers 15:32-36) who picked up a few sticks on the Sabbath day....and came under the wrath of God.

Yes, Jesus did die for all the world's sin- He died the death that all of us deserve to die- He offers salvation, and heaven, to those who accept Christ as their Savior. It is free gift. Think of it this way- someone brings you a gift- how do you receive it? Turn away and ignore it, or do you reach out and take it? If you refuse the gift you do not get the blessing. Then think of this-
"THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD".
You ask why there is a hell- because there has to be payment for sin, God is holy and sinners cannot be in the presence of a Holy God- except- only through the blood of the perfect and spotless Lamb of God.

You answered your own question with the Scriptures you quoted. By the way, when we were created God gave mankind free will. At no time did Jesus take away mankind's power to make a choice. However, He did make clear the consequences for mankind's choices - be it hell or heaven. Read the parable of the sower.

Hell is an eternal existence where no one must go unless they choose to go there.
Hell is the complete absence from God and everyone else but oneself. The person who chooses to go there chooses to go there because he or she has chosen to become his/her own god.
Hell is never beginning, never ending self implosion. All thoughts of people, places, things, ideas or anything else are completely self-generated. Nothing is new or unique. Nothing can be appreciated or loved. Nothing can love you. One is too rapidly reaching out to stop the imploding to even consider oneself. The mind and soul races in a burning heat for connection to any other person, especially God, but no one else is there. Nothing else has ever been there except oneself. Nothing else can ever be there except oneself, hence it never begins or ends.
This is my definition of Hell, an eternal existence.
Pope John Paul II defined Hell as the complete frustration and emptiness of life without God. I think this was too benign.

It looks like you answered your own question to some extent. You have to believe on him to accept the free gift of God's pardon, which his sacrificial substitutionary death allowed God to issue. To receive any free gift, you have to be willing to accept it. If you don't accept it, because you believe the person offering it is lying, then you just don't get it. Right? He did die for everyone's sins, but only those who accept it receive the pardon.
hat being said, how can someone believe what they just can't believe? Why does God make his salvation based on such an arbitrary thing as belief, knowing that some of us are as incapable of grasping it as mastering calculus? I know that, if it is true, then I am "lost", but I also know that I just can't believe it. Well, I used to, but I lost it.
I mean, if something just does not make any sense, then it bloody well does not make any sense. And it makes no sense that God had to send his son to die in my place because of something a remote ancestor supposedly did - eating a piece of stupid fruit. If he is going to condemn me for that, then shame on Him.

mother nature vs religions...
Mother Nature has been teaching balance through the human spirit stolen from the the human flesh... it is through mother nature that peace is found necessary... mother nature looked at how the human would have developed naturally without the interference religion. thus began her battle with the church... free will... we are born spiritual emotional, mental and physical.. for 2000 yrs the church has interpreted "spiritual" today most people can't imagine the freedoms lost though selling their spirit to the churches and religions of the world... As you notice most of these biblical quotes are threats meaning "Satan" ruler of the church... they also call him god of this earth.. doesn't want anyone to hear her or her reasoning. he really threatens them having ownership of their spirit is like being given a key to their subconscious and because of the religious defending him he's gained power enough to infect our spirit as well...but those of us who have already heard the woman have made up our minds to be free of religion... it is through her that we become free of hell it never was eternal life just eternal spiritual torture for the human race... for he still needs to keep feeding from our spirits to exist... mother nature needs no worship or religion to exist.. and what she uses don't need it either....

Hell is the state of complete and final self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed, reserved for those who refuse by their own free choice to believe and be converted from sin, even to the end of their lives
I like to think of it this way. The only way a person will go to hell is if they want to.
God in His (or Her) unlimited love has given us free will to choose. Our most important choice is to freely decide to accept or reject God's constant offer of spending eternity with Him in heaven. God will respect the choice to reject Him.
With love in Christ.

I could offer you a million dollars, but until you reached out your hand and took it, you would not receive the benefit of it. My offering it is not enough, you must accept it also. The same is true with Christ's sacrifice for your sins. He did it. It's there for the taking. But you MUST reach out and accept it for it to be applied to your account. Alas, many people refuse to accept the gift so freely given.

Only thru YOUR faith are YOU, saved.
If you do NOT believe that Jesus died for YOUR sins, Then YOU are absolutely correct. He didn`t.
IF you believe that he did die to cover your sins then, you are also absolutely correct.
It is by YOUR OWN faith that God works......... Otherwise he doesn`t KNOW you.
YOU CHOOSE........ He already chose you, and accepted YOU. It is up to YOU to accept him. He doesn`t force you to do anything.
YOU are free to do, and believe, *whatever* YOU choose. However, You also have to face the consequences of your choices.
