It was part of our RE topic, I thought we were supposed to be educating children to tolerate other religions! I am an agnostic and have no religion!

I am looking for specific answers. Don't do drugs -- I got it. Anything else? An important book, and intersting idea, concept, philosophy, letting go of something? Making sure you did something?
I appreciate all thought-out answers that will be helpful and I can use in my life : )

I was just wondering if there are any panentheists/pantheists over here, or other people who like to combine science, philosophy and the afterlife issues. And like to research/discuss this.

5 years back, I wronged someone by treating him in a demeaning, mocking, rude, belittling, disrespectful way. Fast forward to today. The guy that I liked did the very same to me. Will this guy now be getting his in the future? Or since it was my bad karma coming back at me, it's over?

Who then gave us the Bible? I found these verses .....What do you think?

2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

2 Peter 1:19-21
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

Needless to say I was quite flabbergasted when I read this:

"The Holy Prepuce, or Holy Foreskin (Latin præputium or prepucium) is one of several relics attributed to Jesus. At various points in history. Various miraculous powers have been ascribed to it.

The relic was originally said to have been given to Pope Leo III on December 25, 800 by Charlemagne on the occasion of his coronation; he in turn is said to have claimed that it had been brought to him by an angel while he prayed at the Holy Sepulcher (although another version of the story says it was a wedding gift from the Byzantine Empress Irene). The Pope placed it into the Sancta Sanctorum in the Lateran basilica in Rome with other relics.

Apart from its physical importance as a relic, the Holy Foreskin is sometimes claimed to have appeared in a famous vision of Saint Catherine of Siena. In the vision, Jesus mystically marries her, and his amputated foreskin is given to her as a wedding ring."

All I can say is...wow!

please dont say man did or satan did

Why did god create the laws of sin?
Example

he must of created AIDS ,HIV ,Cancer and all the horrible diseases. don't say man created it by sining , someone must of created those things . they don't magically appear cause man did something stupid like eat an apple of a tree

so god must of created the whole package of sin, so when man sins he opens that package and he gets all the diseases and all the suffering in the world

after watching people suffer ,i can NOT worship a god who created these things

I have given you multiple examples of those who claim to be Christian but obviously are not. Are you afraid to stand up against the world and rebuke these people in the name of Christ Jesus? Jesus says that if we deny him on earth, he will deny us in Heaven. Maybe you should all start thinking about that.

Satan is more of a Judeo-Christian concept, which I don't subsribe to. But many believe in this Evil Fall Guy Ex-Angel Creature and blame him for their own poor judgement or the reason why someone won't see things THEIR way (Which they believe to be God's way).

Now If I screw up and make a mistake or use bad judgement I don't have a evil Fall Guy to share the blame. I blame MYSELF 100% and take responsibility for it. It was MY slip-up, MY ignorance etc.

But if certain people can just say, 'I was tempted by Satan!" or that Satan is somehow putting all kinds of situations their way to make doing the ethical, right thing, impossible, is it that they are shifting responsibility?

And why can't someone just not agree with you because YOU simply have not convinced them or what you are saying does not make sense to them. Why once again is the Fall Guy Satan to blame?
Is it because you cannot believe we humans are indeed capable of discerning things ourselves?

Please explain

cos it cannot answer questions:

1. it tells you that a dinossaur became a bird but cannot show you how cells came together to form the first dinasaur. It cannot even explain how a butterfly suddenly emerges from scratch.

2. it tells you early humans were primitive, but cannot tell you how such primitives were able to construct the Pyramids and other superb landmarks.

I'm REALLY getting tired of these random ignorant people who voice their ignorant opinions about how the Bible is false and Christians only believe in it to make themselves feel better. Can anyone on planet earth get a clue. The funny thing is, the Bible says this is going to happen, that people are going to be clueless, and blame us for expressing our love for God, blame us for being conceited, blame us for being narrow minded, blame us for thinking objectively etc., which are all false. We are Christians because we are GRATEFUL THAT JESUS DIED FOR OUR SINS and have enough sense to realize the truth. We are not selfish. And we don't try to convert for selfish gain. The ones who do hold the responsibility to, and care enough, to share the truth and spread the Word so that others don't go to Hell for eternity, are the true believers. And they are selfless. Like me. But I'm tired of putting in time and energy into helping other people only to have it thrown in my face about how I'm trying to convert them for my selfish reasons. The funniest thing in the world to me is how everyone judges you when you talk about Christianity. Not religion, Christianity. The one true religion. People who try to convert others are not conceited, they just realize that others need to know that Jesus is our savior, and if they don't believe He is, then they'll go to Hell for eternity, I don't want that to happen to anyone, so I try to convert. NOT for my own selfish agenda? LOL Not enough True Christians stick up for themselves. Meanwhile too many ignorant people run rampant spreading their ignorant voices onto other people who depend on others to speak and tell them how to think for themselves. I'm so glad I have an independent brain that I use to support independent thoughts. Weird, scary, funny etc. how no one reads the Bible and targets themselves to meaningless ignorant information from others.

I have read online that children with autism and add are spiritual, and it came kind of close to Christianity, they believed in Jesus and the Holy Spirit and God but believed Jesus married Marry Magdelen. what they claim about children with autism.http://www.merkaba.org/autism/autism_book.htm
and autism and the god connection http://www.amazon.com/Autism-God-Connection-William-Stillman/dp/1402206496 by someone who believes in God and says he has a relationship with Him,yet he believes in reincarnation. There have been deomonic experiences, but I saw on a blog this quote. My Autisic Child at the age of 3 1/2- 4 one day saw me holding the Bible and pointed to It, and said "JESUS", I didn't teach him these things yet! Now this is a young "autistic child" that can't even talk that well, and he had it right, yet many Adult's don't even get It! The very young and innocent never fail to amaze me!

I saw this in History channel yesterday and then I researched it on my own. The church believed that it was good for society. Everybody accepted prostitution.

So why have we lost our freedoms today? Can fighting in Iraq bring back my freedoms that was lost 500 years ago? Do you see how you can't trust anything the church tells you? So burn the bible and believe in God only because men has distorted God's divine words.

AMEN?!
