You are forgiven and still punished??? In what way is this forgiveness?
So those who are to perish in hell are forgiven but tormented?

So If I forgive your debt I can still require you to pay it? Is the debt forgiven or is it requireing a payment?

does the qu'ran explain this...semms some of you think he wasnt forgiven...others say he was forgiven and yet still punished which in itself is a contradiction...Does the Quran explain this or are Muslims on their own on this?

Seems cruel to me we are forgiven and punished..I guess there is no salvation for Muslims all are punished.
The true God said the penalty must be paid and wiht his blood he did pay that penalty of deaht for those who accept the atonement Jesus Christ provided. Thank You Jesus that my debt is paid and I will not endure the eternal damnation the Muslims are accepting.

Salahuld…Was Adam merely scolded and forgiven? Or was he kicked out of paradise and inherited death.

Forgiveness means restoration. Wehn jesus healed he said your sins are forgiven to be forgiven means restoration is Jesus more fair than Allah? Is the forgiveness Chrsit gave greater than the forgiveness fo Allah?

1 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
2 And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the apalsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
3 And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
4 And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
5 For whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?

Eroka God never intended for Adam to live in the Garden but he paced him in the Garden until Adam disobeyed the God forgave him and took him out of the garden? Why was Adam placed in the Garden then? God simply changed his mind?

2007-05-24 11:09:10 · update #8

You people do know there is a story of Adam ansd Eve that makes perfect sense don't you? Its in the true word of God. Adam was kicked out of the Garden for disobedience, With this disobediednce he inherited death...there was another tree in the Garden it was called the tree of life. It is God's mercy and salvation through Christ our lord it is the only way to the Father as Christ himself did teach.

read this hadith, it will help you:

The Prophet added: "Whoever among you fulfills his pledge will be rewarded by Allah. And whoever indulges in any one of them (except the ascription of partners to Allah) and gets the punishment in this world, that punishment will be an expiation for that sin. And if one indulges in any of them, and Allah conceals his sin, it is up to Him to forgive or punish him (in the Hereafter)."

see the last part, it doesnt say "it is up to him to forgive AND punish..., it says " to forgive OR punish" if Allah forgives then the person will not be punished, you see Adam being kicked out of paradise doesnt mean he was being punished, the reason he was kicked out was because God said " I will create a vicegerent on earth" before Adam was even created so it was Gods plan for Adam to dwell in earth.

Not gonna bother reading the rest of your question, but here's the answer:

When you're forgiven, it means you won't be punished in the NEXT world-- Judgment Day, basically. And his being kicked out wasn't really a punishment; it was part of Allah's plan. Punishment would have been more like... I don't know...I'm thinking having Adam and Eve (peace and blessings of Allah be upon them both) come down to Earth and NOT show them guidance the way He (Allah) did.
Had they not sinned, they (and consequently us) would've lived in heaven, free to do as they may have wished with absolutely no warnings (besides "no touching that tree"), etc.
Know what I mean?

In the Quran, Allah(swt) said he created Adam to be the leader...being kicked out of the garden was the nature of humanity....there is punishments and there are rewards...just because we repent does not always mean we will continue to get what we want
all actions have consequences... even good deeds...

Adam was forgiven after he was kicked out, because God felt compassion towards him, taught him the prayers he should use to ask for forgiveness and so Adam did.

The difference between Islam and Christianity is that in Islam, life on earth is not seen as a general punishment :)

It was a planned course of action by God, for God knew that Adam would make the error of forgetting His warnings and God knew exactly what Adam would do.

So this life for us is not a punishment, albeit a place of test for faith and strengh of mind, and albeit a seperation from Him.

So was Eve. They were both kicked out for disobeying Allah's order to not eat the forbidden fruit. He forgave the action, but punishment was still required.

A good example would be if your child gets in trouble by breaking a window in your house, you still scold him or her, but you forgive them.

If you read the Glorious Qur'an.

it states that he was forgiven after being sent to earth

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً قَالُواْ أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاء وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ قَالَ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ مَا لاَ تَعْلَمُونَ {30}
[Shakir 2:30] And when your Lord said to the angels, I am going to place in the earth a khalif, they said: What! wilt Thou place in it such as shall make mischief in it and shed blood, and we celebrate Thy praise and extol Thy holiness? He said: Surely I know what you do not know.
وَعَلَّمَ آدَمَ الأَسْمَاء كُلَّهَا ثُمَّ عَرَضَهُمْ عَلَى الْمَلاَئِكَةِ فَقَالَ أَنبِئُونِي بِأَسْمَاء هَـؤُلاء إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ {31}
[Shakir 2:31] And He taught Adam all the names, then presented them to the angels; then He said: Tell me the names of those if you are right.
قَالُواْ سُبْحَانَكَ لاَ عِلْمَ لَنَا إِلاَّ مَا عَلَّمْتَنَا إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَلِيمُ الْحَكِيمُ {32}
[Shakir 2:32] They said: Glory be to Thee! we have no knowledge but that which Thou hast taught us; surely Thou art the Knowing, the Wise.
قَالَ يَا آدَمُ أَنبِئْهُم بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ فَلَمَّا أَنبَأَهُمْ بِأَسْمَآئِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ {33}
[Shakir 2:33] He said: O Adam! inform them of their names. Then when he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not say to you that I surely know what is ghaib in the heavens and the earth and (that) I know what you manifest and what you hide?
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ اسْجُدُواْ لآدَمَ فَسَجَدُواْ إِلاَّ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى وَاسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ {34}
[Shakir 2:34] And when We said to the angels: Make obeisance to Adam they did obeisance, but Iblis (did it not). He refused and he was proud, and he was one of the unbelievers.
وَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَكُلاَ مِنْهَا رَغَداً حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلاَ تَقْرَبَا هَـذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الْظَّالِمِينَ {35}
[Shakir 2:35] And We said: O Adam! Dwell you and your wife in the garden and eat from it a plenteous (food) wherever you wish and do not approach this tree, for then you will be of the unjust.
فَأَزَلَّهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيهِ وَقُلْنَا اهْبِطُواْ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ وَلَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَاعٌ إِلَى حِينٍ {36}
[Shakir 2:36] But the Shaitan made them both fall from it, and caused them to depart from that (state) in which they were; and We said: Get forth, some of you being the enemies of others, and there is for you in the earth an abode and a provision for a time.
فَتَلَقَّى آدَمُ مِن رَّبِّهِ كَلِمَاتٍ فَتَابَ عَلَيْهِ إِنَّهُ هُوَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ {37}
[Shakir 2:37] Then Adam received (some) words from his Lord, so He turned to him mercifully; surely He is Oft-returning (to mercy), the Merciful.
قُلْنَا اهْبِطُواْ مِنْهَا جَمِيعاً فَإِمَّا يَأْتِيَنَّكُم مِّنِّي هُدًى فَمَن تَبِعَ هُدَايَ فَلاَ خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلاَ هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ {38}
[Shakir 2:38] We said: Go forth from this (state) all; so surely there will come to you a guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.
وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرواْ وَكَذَّبُواْ بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَـئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ {39}
[Shakir 2:39] And (as to) those who disbelieve in and reject My communications, they are the inmates of the fire, in it they shall abide.
