why did I get a thumbs down? A lot of dad-haters?

Zilla, my greatest wish is that ALL atheists use the Thumbs Down avatar! Enjoy!

It MUST mean they obviously know your dad! Spooky!

The thumbs down are pathetic. I remember a question where I was asked to describe the Bible in one word. My answer was "book". It got 7 thumbs down.

Because, of course, the Bible isn't a book.

I get that a lot, too. Sometimes I understand why, sometimes I don't. If I make a stand for Atheism, I understand the "thumbs down." Not everyone's going to agree with me. Probably not even you. Such is the nature of public opinion.

But, yeah, sometimes it's like:

"I'm a man (thumbs down) who believes (thumbs down) in hard work (thumbs down) and perserverance (multiple thumbs down). Oh, yeah--and Alicia Silverstone's hot (thumbs up).

I have NO idea what the judging criteria is 'round these parts. You're best off ignoring it.

I actually got thumbs downed the other day because I said I'd choose my loved-ones over religion and material wants. I don't get it either. I think some people expect the answer to every question should be "Jesus". And when it's not - thumbs down for you!

May have been a mistake. I have hit thumbs down before, when I was actually trying to give a thumbs up. I must have a lazy mouse...

Looked for this question and couldn't find it? Actually, I did find the question, just no answer from you and obviously no thumbs down. Of course, I didn't feel like looking a year back.

There are times when I've gotten a thumbs down and for the life of me I cannot figure why.

The thumbs down was personal my little scissors-legs.

EIther that or just some very immature responders. Everyone should be able to admire at least one parent.

Yeah......and strangely, it appears that when i give a very sincere and truthful answer i get thumbs down.....and when i joke around and give a lame answer i get thumbs up. *shrugs*.

Who knows. People are strange creatures. I think it's great that you admire your dad.
