and what right do we have to test him?
Again, this is contradictory to the rest of your religion, which states that god is (in fact) so concerned with us that he even cares what we do in our bedrooms and who we do it with.
It can't be both ways.
Either you believe we are significant to your god, or we aren't.

A considerable number of people associate celibacy with the sexual abuse of minors (see links). If you did not have a spouse available for sex (no spouse all, or perhaps s/he is away visiting relatives, or is in a coma), how long would it take you to start molesting minors?

and the biggest response I get from all this is that it is somehow "wrong" to try and test god in the first place.
Why?
I understand that believers don't want tests on their god, and will engage in contradictory thinking to to support that, but what I don't understand is how you know this is true? If god made us, then he made us curious and exploring. Unless you contend that it is sinful to explore?

I've been following this line of questioning trying to find out *why* exactly we can't actually test god.
It seems that god does have enormous limits.
The entire range of physical being is beyond him/her/it.
God, apparently, has zero testable characteristics.
Doesn't that seem strange?
Again, either god is a very limited god, or god simply isn't there.

"The AntiChrist and a cup of tea is a great book and i think that all people who love studing the EndTimes should read this book, it has much information about Prince Charles and his characteristics of possibly being the future AntiChrist.

Prince Williams is also a candidate, We are not pointing these two people out just to do it but we have our reasons why and they are hard to disagree with, if you have not studied on these people, please do not criticize us, we are not just assuming they could be the antichrist, their are many reasons why, and if you are curious, please study. God bless

It is what is. They are impermanent, but have to be constantly scrutinized to be dispelled. They are neither right nor wrong, they are just what we are. To be effective in the Realm of the Spirit or in the Realm of Brotherhood, they have to be faced. There is much wisdom and knowledge in self awareness, don't you think?

Don't you think "playing the field" will lead one to hook up with a great lover? As some lovers are better than others? And then cause them to forever compare thier partner to that great lover, and hate on their partner, because he or she doesn't stack up!Whereas making love with noone but your marriage partner would give you nothing to compare them to, and make you feel cheated, so you hate the person you want to love. Just because they can't fulfill you in that one area?

aren't they supposed to be peaceful because they're "dharmic religions"? what a joke! listen to this..the buddhists and hindus in sri lanka are at war with eachother and can't stand the sight of eachother, the buddhists treat the hindus like second class citizens and purposely made the national language sinhala so that the tamil hindus would find it impossible to get jobs, the tamils have to go through a lot of difficulties to get to universities....seems to be a lot of hate going on don't you think? and people say christians are violent! PAH!

by the way the LTTE is a tamil hindu terrorist group and it's trying to get freedom from the sinhala buddhists

If so which one? They can't all be right, so which one is the TRUTH? Are they all made up?

And most important, how can I tell the difference? If a Hindu believes deep in his heart that there are many gods, and a Christian believes deep in his heart that jesus is the risen savior, how can I judge which experience is more valid?

I was born Jewish, raised Christian, and grew up practicing no religion. I went to college and learned all about comparative religions and became intellectual.
I have recently taken an opportunity to attend Hassidic synagogue. I have a good time discussing philosophy with my new friends there (and of course with my brother who introduced me to the temple), BUT I am simply intellectualizing.
The people who attend the shul are BELIEVERS. They believe that the Jews left Egypt 3000 years ago and received the Torah, and that you're not supposed to flip a light switch on Saturday, and so on.
I can honestly say that I am not a believer. I am just wondering if anyone out there has gone this way before? Have any of you "become" believers of a religion (or even an organization such as scientology or amway) AFTER studying comparative religions and found that there really is no "true" religion?

As with any discussion on religion, please read my question CAREFULLY before posting!

is it wrong to develop your intuition? cos i konw it is against our faith to trust psychics, and to develop one's intuition means to tap the pyschic powers we amy have. I want to give it a try so that i can make better decisions. but i wana know first if it is against the law of God?
