and what right do we have to test him?
Again, this is contradictory to the rest of your religion, which states that god is (in fact) so concerned with us that he even cares what we do in our bedrooms and who we do it with.
It can't be both ways.
Either you believe we are significant to your god, or we aren't.

By the way, I haven't mentioned any religion in any of these posts, yet I've already been accused of "christian bashing". LOL

These comparisons are meant to express humility and nothing else; I think that your inference in your questions is ample proof that you refer to Christians.

I think the ants and monkeys are used to demonstrate how much powerful and wiser and greater God is in comparison to us.

But God's superiority does not make God detached or unreachable. God is very much involved in our lives.

As a Christian though, I cannot stand it when certain OTHER Christians act like God is insecure, in constant need of ego boosting and gets offended at everything that offends THEM. They act like PR agents or aggressive bodyguards for God or something, as if an all powerful Creator NEEDS it. I think some feel it will curry favor with God the way some people in a celebrity's entourage try to suck up and keep others away.

Ah, since my gods don't really give a flying youknowwhat about what folk are doing in their bedrooms, I suppose this doesn't apply to my beliefs.

I don't think we're ants and monkeys, but I do think we're an awful lot like housecats.

My cats tell me when they are out of food, don't understand when I don't fill the dish at once (Sorry, socs, I have to run to the store!) and I'm certain they have no idea why I get in the smelly thing and disappear for 10-12 hours a day. Even if my cats DID test me, I'm not sure I'd understand what was being asked of me.

SJ-Re:Christian bashing. I just got a message from a user attacking me for answering your questions as a non-Christian, so go figure.

OK check this out I'm going to go completely scientific on you:)

OK most religions or beliefs that have a prime god figure state that we are in the thoughts of god at all times, and if he forgets about us or stops thinking about us for any reason that we will just stop existing

now quantum physics states that "in theory" that if you keep going down farther and farther into the matter that holds us together eventually you will get to a part of matter that is completely energy, and that energy is equal to that of the frequency of thought energy.

and it also states that there is a single universal variable. one number equation that we can not exist with out, most say that this is god.

the point is if there is anything that can be considered god out there, or in here, that with out it him she whatever, we can't exist unless "he" is concerned with us.

We are ants in the sense that we are small in power compared to God. No human has anywhere near as much power and authority as the Holy father. We are monkeys in the sense that we do dumb things all the time. We act as brainless as they do.

We're definitely not on the same level as God, but you've made a good point. We aren't ants and monkeys to him. We're his children, he made us, and yeah, he cares about what we do in the bedroom and who we do it with. So do our human parents. You love your kid and you want to teach them what's right and what's going to benefit them. We're made in GOd's image, so in that way, we reflect how he cares about us and loves us.

We are significant to my God. I'm Christian.

We are not ants or monkeys. We are God's most loved creation, and He cares about ALL aspects fo our lives... not just the things that He wants us to stay away from.

I have never said we are 'ants' nor 'monkeys' compared to God.

God is holy, holy, holy, he is myriads and myriads of holiness, mankind collectively could not even begin to imagine Gods holiness.

Mankind is not holy, no one man, save for Jesus, has ever come close to Gods holiness.
We are significant to God but it is beyond me as to why this is, from my own view point on mankind we suck big time.

By what authority do you question my God?

As a christian I think that this is a legitimate question, I think that God is concerned with us and wants us to question him, I do everyday, it's how you grow mentally and spiritually
