God wants us to love Him with all our heart, with all our mind, and all our soul.

Intuition, in and of itself, is neither good nor bad. If you feel that, by developing intuition as a personal strength - and you intend to use this strength as a means to glorify God, there is absolutely nothing wrong with "developing intuition".

However, bad things can be done with a potent intuition. You've already elluded to the evils of psychic powers. Yes, stay clear from those and anything that constitutes Divination.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches on divination:

2116 All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to "unveil" the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone.

2138 Superstition is a departure from the worship that we give to the true God. It is manifested in idolatry, as well as in various forms of divination and magic.

2117 All practices of magic or sorcery, by which one attempts to tame occult powers, so as to place them at one's service and have a supernatural power over others - even if this were for the sake of restoring their health - are gravely contrary to the virtue of religion. These practices are even more to be condemned when accompanied by the intention of harming someone, or when they have recourse to the intervention of demons. Wearing charms is also reprehensible. Spiritism often implies divination or magical practices; the Church for her part warns the faithful against it. Recourse to so-called traditional cures does not justify either the invocation of evil powers or the exploitation of another's credulity.

Intuition is closely related to conscience. It is doubtful that someone with a weak conscience is going to possess a strong intuition, for the good. We are obligated to form our conscience in accordance with the teachings of the Church:

II. THE FORMATION OF CONSCIENCE

1783 Conscience must be informed and moral judgment enlightened. A well-formed conscience is upright and truthful. It formulates its judgments according to reason, in conformity with the true good willed by the wisdom of the Creator. The education of conscience is indispensable for human beings who are subjected to negative influences and tempted by sin to prefer their own judgment and to reject authoritative teachings.

1784 The education of the conscience is a lifelong task. From the earliest years, it awakens the child to the knowledge and practice of the interior law recognized by conscience. Prudent education teaches virtue; it prevents or cures fear, selfishness and pride, resentment arising from guilt, and feelings of complacency, born of human weakness and faults. The education of the conscience guarantees freedom and engenders peace of heart.

1785 In the formation of conscience the Word of God is the light for our path, we must assimilate it in faith and prayer and put it into practice. We must also examine our conscience before the Lord's Cross. We are assisted by the gifts of the Holy Spirit, aided by the witness or advice of others and guided by the authoritative teaching of the Church.

Intuition is the sixth sense, that happens at the inner core of the mind. Developing the intuition is not developing the psychic powers. It is de-husking. It's removing the covers of the sixth sense that is already there.
Let me tell you, there is nothing against the law of god. Everything on this planet is happening as per the divine order. Even Jesus Christ used his intuitive powers to predict the future.
I belong to the vedic tradition of India. Through yoga and meditation, you can easily improve the intuitive skills. And since we have this hidden skills within us, we all must invoke those skills.

Catholic "intuition" is the ability to discern the divine will of God, for your life.

I doubt that it has much to do with any type of "pyschic" powers.

Being constantly in tune with God's will and a becoming a fully functioning part of his divine plan, with the help of his grace, is what Catholic Tradition has always been about.

The Blessed Virgin Mary and the saints are all very "intuitive" in this way, so you will have lots of excellent company.

We develop this necessary skill through our full and active participation in the work, worship, sacraments, and devotions of the Catholic Church, and by our acceptance and understanding of all that the Catholic Church authoratively teaches, in the name of Christ.

Enjoy ... and may God richly bless you and yours!

I don't think there is nothing wrong with what you plan to do. It is called gift of prophecy or discernment by Catholic teaching. If you are serious in developing this gift of the holy Spirit I suggest you do it with others under the Church's supervision.

Peace and blessings!

intuition is a potential gift from God. Use it wisely and in the name of good. Do not harm others or yourself.

Using intuition is not using psychic power. You are absolutely mixing two different things...it will not work
