When he/she said:

Genesis 1:26

And God said, let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the foul of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth the earth.

Now consider all God does for you each day!

"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"

Psalms 27:1

Onward Christian soldiers, marching as to war, with the bong of Jesus going on before,
burning tinky winky's hear our hateful roar,
better than us fighting in dear old bush's war, god bless reverend Haggard, who knows what meth is for?
and why he had to buy it from a confessed gay whore,
armed with our banannas, crockoducks galore!
they can call us stupid, but we just ignore
evidence is bible and science is a bore
Onward fundie soldiers, now and forevermore!

I usually don't spend too much time in this section as I am always reading questions and answers that are aimed at getting at each others throats. Everyone has something that they believe in, some put their faith in science and others in God, perhaps some of you don't like to call it faith specially in science but that's what I am calling it for lack of a better word. As a christian I believe that God created everything, I don't know if it was over a billion years or literally a few days. I am not here to shove my beliefs down anyones throat nor do I want to expose myself to insults, I guess what I am asking is, is it possible to have an educated question from either side with equally thought out answers, or is that too much wishfull thinking?

Ok... well many people say that the most effective spells are the ones you create yourself. But really, what does that mean? How can something you just make up work? like... for instance if i do this thing: If i wanted to remember my dreams, i'd take a blue candle, carve in the word "Dreams", light it, and go to sleep. And i really believed that it would work, but i made it up. How would it work? its just somethign i threw together?

so can someone please explain? thank you.

Was Pontius Pilate an air force officer in the Roman army?
If so, was he responsible for the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah?

Did you ever think about how God could have made us any way he wanted to? He could have made us to not need to breathe. He could have put os on Jupiter and it would have been fine. We wouldn't have known the difference. He could have made our eyes talk. Why did God create us the way he did?

okay so i am extremely interested in vampires and werewolves. I have spent much of my time researching how to tell if someone is a werewolf and how they transform into one. You can ridicule me for wasting my time on such things or tell me it is the 'devil's creation' but I don't care. I loke what I like and will believe what I wish. But, besides the point. I wanted to know if there was anything you know about vampires and werewolves that you could tell me...

Nowhere else in the developed world does this ignorance hold sway over so many people.

The mountains of evidence for evolution are irrefutable, yet still, the same discredited arguments, that other countries laugh at, get so much support in the American bible belt.

What can save the USA from this foolishness?

i ask this because atheists don't need a fear of god to be a good person. christians are afraid to sin because of eternal damnation and of course, because they feel it's wrong.

but why don't atheists need to be told they're going to hell if they do something bad? they think when they die, they're dead, so what's stopping them from indulging in sinful behaviour?

floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, etc?

Are they caused by God and therefore not really bad?
Are they an effect of sin and therefore did not exist before humans?

I'm buddhist, and i don't disagree or agree with christianity, but i'v noticed that a lot of christians don't like islamic people because of radical groups that bomb places and whatnot.

just to let you know, i lived in asia for several years and everyone there thinks that all christians are evil and they think every christian is like the KKK, which is obviously wrong.

Why cant people clue in that not all islams bomb buildings and not al christians burn every black asian or islamic person they can find. Why can't everyone just realize that those wo religions, along with judaism, are based on the exact same thing?

Just look at this clear warning:

"And behold, those that hearken not unto God shall be struck down with a sword from without and with terror from within, and shall reap bitter destruction. I will also send the claws of beasts upon them, and the poison of serpents into their bodies."

i recently asked about divorces and sinning. apparently you can only divorce if there was cheating. many marriages end without cheating. one answer said that if you divorce you need to repent. but wouldn't that be premeditating sin? how would that be any different then premeditating murder with plans to repent afterwards so you can still get into heaven.

ya know, maybe i should become christian, it seems to be that you can do anything you want - good and bad - and just repent it all away! that's not too bad a deal if you ask me (which you didn't)

please dont' answer with "god knows what's in your heart" because if i truly repent, then god is in my heart (until the next time i sin, but then i can just do the whole thing over again)

What do you think, folks? Obviously, the nonbelievers are taking the believers to the cleaners these days. Do you think it's possible that Jerry Falwell inadvertantly caused this uprising by pushing Christianity into a spotlight it should have stayed out of?

I know that's why I'm an activist. If it wasn't for Falwell and people like him, I wouldn't be out here proving these people wrong. I would have left them alone, as I could care less what they believe, as long as they keep it to themselves.

Could it be, that perhaps Jerry Falwell is to be admired... as he is one of the instigators of the final fall of religion?

And if you do, that is a prophetic message.
Here is the latest news.

Radical cleric Raed Salah is behind many of these demonstrations. For him, Jerusalem in the hands of the Jews is the worst thing that could have happened.

Salah said, "Nothing is more catastrophic for us than the occupation of Jerusalem and the al-Aksa mosque since 1967."

Many of the million Arabs living in Israel feel the same way. Salah uses this anger to build support among his fellow Israeli Muslims
The Islamic leader says that his followers are hated by Jews and Christians because his group is stopping the third Jewish temple from being built.

Kamal Al-Khateb of the Islamic Movement said, "We are attacked by these American biblical extremist groups because we are standing in the way of their prophecy."

Behind the rally's podium is a ship, representing the goal of shipping Jews out of Islamic land -- a goal that cleric Abed Abo Alhega promises will happen, by force, if necessary.

bad things to happen on Earth? Can't genocide and war be traced to immoral and inhumane people? Don't most people accept that global warming is a human made condition and that this is the cause for so much of the erratic weather causing droughts and floods and, ultimately, famine? If God does exist, can we really say it's his fault for letting it happen if we aren't willing to try and fix the problems we've created first?

I'm trying to figure out if my beliefs coincide with any particular religion. My Beliefs are:

1) I Believe in God

2) Believe that Jesus died for my sins

3) Nature is the best place of worship

4) Bigotry and Discrimination is an act of evil

5) Hell is a metaphor, not an actual place of fire

6) The Bible is not entirely accurate because it was written by Man, and Man is untrustworthy

7) Homosexuals do not go to hell because of their sexuality

8) Magic is not evil (as for it's existence, I have no clue lol)

9) Creationism and Evolution both exist

10) Ghosts exist and are earth bound spirits who are lost

11) A personal relationship with God is important

12) Earth is a living breathing thing and can speak to you in many ways (I'm not referring to as a god though)

Based on my beliefs, what religion does that sound like? I believe in Spirituality, but I'm open to discover a religion that would work for me based on my beliefs.
